I’ve left nasal valve collapse, ( besides an enlarged turbinate ). Two ENT I’ve seen recommended this; however, i feel that supporting the nostril with cartilage could be a better option for me. Insurances don’t cover Latera as i was told the procedure has not been proving to be effective, . otherwise they would cover it. One of the ENT told me a little more than $2000 for each nostril for the latera implant.

Cost of implant : 850 $ each, 1700 a pair. If sedation iv anesthesia needed chip in another 850 anesthesiologist fee, 1000 hospital fee, 2000 ENT surgeons fee, total into 7 k. If done in office under local, about 2k per nostril.

BEFORE taking any decision go to an experienced general practitioner (if any left) to carefully examine your nose and see what the reason for the symptoms are. Get a CAT or a MRI BEFORE procedure so the surgeon will not have free hand to experiment on your nose (like it happened to me).

Scam. Stay away from unnecessary nasal surgeries. Once you're injured it's "your" fault not theirs.

I did this last year and it did not work. It just made my nose bigger on one side. I’m going in for a the vivaer treatment later this month to see if that helps

Its been 4 years and still not removing my nose nasal...but I will ask my mom to remove it.(not a kid anymore).wish me luck guys

Sir i have been using drug 8 month gone from nose now happend is this i snuff from right side whole but it's an go to left nose whole inside .why and last time normaly breath from right whole of nose now pressure on left whole

It does not work. I had it done and came out through the skin in two weeks. I analyzed it : it is too short, the bends at the upper end are useless and induce perforation of skin with resulting infection and need to pull it out (the hook got caught in the frame of my eyeglasses, Latera came out of skin just when i removed my eyeglasses). Implant does cost 850 $ a piece.
I do NOT recommend this procedure although in theory it seems that it may work.
At night i wear now a very simple device that i made myself from a … paper clip !!!
It works very well and saves me from spending on nasal strips (they work too).

I hit my nose with something and nose became taller. What is going on here? Does it become thicker or changed shape?

Can a nose X-Ray detect any micro chip implanted in the nose? Some intelligence Agency personnels have implanted something in my nose because of which chemical gases are getting attracted to my nose as a result my health is detoirating. Please help me.
