I really needed this video because I was unsure of what would make my budgies uncomfortable as well as how this is the first time my house has had any pets, so thank you.

i do one of these, i get frustrated with my tiel sometimes but i never scream at her, though when im frustrated with her she knows, and i feel so bad. but what i love about her is that sometimes i feel like she knows im sorry and just sits calmly one my arm asking for scritches, looks as if she is forgiving me. i love you chico!

I'm so so grateful for this account. I, and I'm sure many others, am terrified of being a bad owner and this account has been one of my top resources since I got my budgies. It's so informative and helpful.

Birds are super sensitive there not like dogs or cats where you can scold them for biting the furniture. Yet I would still not recommend doing it to all pets . Birds are very unique creatures where they have a lot more mood swings every one and a while! Great video I always find some sort of interest in them!

Honestly the punishment one depends. My quakers have benefitted from being held and talked to in a stern voice. It certainly does instill a little fear but doing this immediately after undesired behaviors completely gets rid of them. My Quaker’s are the sweetest little guys now, happy as ever. And no obviously don’t hurt your bird, just hold and talk to in a stern voice. My Quaker’s kept biting each other and getting in little fights; this type of discipline helped them to stop and they are awesome now!

Thank you for this. I used to blow air into my budgies when they would fight bcs I tought it was harmless and it made them know it's not ok. Now I know it was a bad thing and I will stop.
The thing is that even tho I tried separating my budgies for some time, the young female still beats up the old male. He had injuries on his head 2 times already and Idk what to do. I can't keep them separated forever bcs my female budgies gets very anxious when she's isolated.

You forgot about not letting your parakeets fly around a secure room iblet chipper and Chico fly around my living room every day the only time they're in the cages are when I'm out doing errands and when they are covered for the night when they're chirping I tell them how beautiful they sound I even play oldies music for them while I am out they actually chirp dance and Bob their heads to frankie valli songs

once you are my favorite youtuber for birds i wanted to say a problem that my bird has
(*shes's girl and young)
Today we diceded to let their cage with them outside in our balcony so they can rest for a litlle
after a while my mum wanted to throw away(in the bag with the other trash) something but
suddenly when she opened the door she saw a really big bird i front of our bird's cage trying to eat
their food, fortunately the big bird got scared and fly away. When i was checking them but the girl had a litlle
a spot of blood on her jaw and i told my mom and dad and they said its nothing, but when she opended her
mouth, she had so much blood i her mouth that i stared crying really hard cause i was so freaking scared
and then her own blood started to coming out of her mouth and me and my brother we're crying so hard but i cried the most.
Then my dad take her and cleaned her mouth and started coming more blood and more, and more, and now it's like
12:45p.m. after the accident and she is still so tired.
Can you tell me what to do in this problem? I dont think she is now ok but i hope you can find something
or we are going to the vet if you dont know anything about that

When your bird/birds aren't tame, but you need to take them to the vet etc, how would you recommend handling the situation? I always wear the same pair of black gloves, when I have to grab one of my birds, so that they know I won't grab them if my hands are bare. They obviously don't understand that it's necessary to go to the vet, and that I'm trying to help them. How can I make it less scary for them, when I have to grab them?
