I'm in my 40s and have long had irritation in one side of my hips. The hack squat is comfortable and gives me no issues.

I don’t think anyone has explained the corkscrew feet planting step better than you. It reminds me of how much detail you put into the cable upright row. I still do them the way you described them. This has to be perfect+1

Good cues. Sometimes I find the shoulder pads leave my shoulders a bit sore from the weight distribution. So I'll grab a foam roller and lay back into it at the top of the machine right behind my rear delts. It gives me a different angle that allows me a bit more hip-flection and no soreness.

I applied these tips and principles to a pendulum squat today and and made hell of a lot of a difference. Usually my feet alignmemt is good but my core tends to disengage at times so kept the focus more on that and also held on the machine from underneath rather than over the top of the handles. Been applying this tip from your previous vids as well.
Lightening the load made a difference to my form as well.

The Hack Squat at my gym you have to hold the handles up so it doesn't lock out, so my hand placement will have to be different.

Nice informative video, although i love hack squats, somehow i tend to lift my lower back by aboit half inch ...but its hits really well...love from mumbai india
