Squats also help my knees. Squats were the #1 reason for my success after my knee replacements. Don't underestimate squats.

34 years ago l had 3 surgeries on my left knee and 2 surgeries on my right knee after I broke both knees simultaneously while playing basketball at the YMCA after a freakish injury after a sudden jump stop move proved too forceful for my knees as they both snapped instantly. My doctors had never heard of such an injury involving both knees while playing basketball.. This included a near fatal case of toxic shock syndrome when my left knee became infected while my wounds were healing. For the next 20 years I had knee pain and stiffness off and on. I assumed that would always be the case. Then I decided to focus on more mindful eating (losing 40 pounds in the process) and that was a game changer. Today at 55 years old I have virtually no knee pain and I'm in the best shape of my adult life. I also do squats 5 days a week as part of my job with no issues. Now I'm a weight loss coach with the goal of helping others overcome their own similar challenges. Have you heard of a similar injury to the one l experienced? I'm very curious. Thank you

Im 53. Ive worked my way up to 300 squats 220 push ups 14 pull ups and 25 35lb mixed dunmbell curls, heavy bag and 5k walk 3-4 times a week. Still increasing and tweaking things but its changed my life completely. I love seeing people getting it done! Good luck everyone!

I’ve done different types of squats for over 20 yrs now I’m now 43
and still get complimented on my body shape

Knees can go over toes. It loads the knees more and can help with knee pain.

I am 61 years old, and since I joined the service, exercise with weight and resistant training, it has become an integral part of my life. It's been 17 years since I retired, but the tradition continues. I actually devote more time and consistency to taking care of my physical appearance and health than ever before. I feel that I am healthier now and loving life more as I aged each year. Taking care of my heart, lung, bone density, and muscles are my top priorities in relation to a healthy diet. I am a type 1 diabetic but that only motivates me more to my lifestyle and my vision in this later life that I am living. I strongly believe that when you look good, you feel good. Good luck, everyone, especially those approaching their 50's. It's better late than never. ❤

I combine my squash like a super set. I squat down with the dumb bell come up. Do 2 hand curls. immediately. Do overhead press then I go back down to the 2 hand curls. and back to the squat.

I do one punch man’s workout so I do 100 pushups 100 sit-ups and 100 squats and I am only 11 years old😅

I started having some knee pain a few months ago. Started doing single leg squats at 6" of height, then 12", then 18", now can do pistol squats. Knee pain went away after a few days of doing the 6" squats, but feel amazing after doing the pistol squats.
