I've been on keto since mid January, so about 7 months. In that time I've lost 76 lbs (from 310). I've learned a lot during that time, and have realized some mistakes. Processed cheese isn't good, stick to the real stuff. Eggs can be prepared in many different ways and are cheap. Almonds are my favorite snack, however they are high in calories, so be careful with portions. I found myself in a rut where I wasn't losing weight, all while keeping my carbs low. I was consuming too many calories due to those almonds! A smartwatch is a huge benefit for tracking your steps, and keeping your activity level up. Lastly, you will be approached by all sorts of people who will tell you the keto diet is unhealthy, or that their doctor even told them this. It's not true.

Congratulations on being so organized and so eloquent and for preparing the videos so well. I love avocado and tomorrow I will buy some and have one every morning instead of banana. I have lost 80 pounds in 9 months with a ketogenic diet combined with 18 hours of daily fasting and from being on a wheelchair because of arthritis I now walk only with one crutch. I still have to lose another 20 pounds to remove the belly fat completely. What we eat is what we are. Thanks again.

But avocados are a big part of my weekly make an Avocado salad (its really just homemade guacamole)
Steak and Avocado salad is a regular meal

And my body fat % has never I lost the 50something LBS 3-4yrs ago

Thanks for the tip on the GREEN bell peppers as opposed to the higher carb yellow or red peppers.
Avoid peanuts just because most are saturated with pesticides due to crop sharing with cotton.

Fun fact: peanuts aren't nuts!!! They grow underground and are edible seeds enclosed in pods; therefore peanuts are actually legumes (in the same family as beans & peas).

I was hoping to get some new ideas from your video and it is well made but after eating an atkins standard low carb diet for 25 years I tend to base my diet on net carbs as the the fiber carbs aren't digested so you get little to no sugars from them. There are a few canned foods that could have made your list like bean sprouts(1 total carb per serving), pickled vegetables at 3 carbs per serving, sugar free relish, and on to the higher carb but lower net carb foods including baby corn)almost 0 carb per serving), artichoke hearts, one half serving of canned carrots and beets are also well in the low carb range, and there are literally several dozen healthy low carb vegetables like mustard and collard greens, chard, kale, okra, cucumbers, radishes, sun chokes, broccoli, cauliflower, turnip greens, beet greens, spinach, asparagus, cabbage, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, limited amounts of peppers and tomatoes, eggplants, summer squash, green beans. I limit my carb intake to 12 per day and have no problem creating a never ending assortment of low carb foods including shellfish that was absent from your list. I do eat the occasional one strawberry or couple of blueberries but not very often. Half an avocado every couple of weeks. I typically cook in bacon fat or butter. How many carbs do you allow yourself per day out of curiosity and why do you avoid high fiber foods that have very low net carb counts. Even atkins allowed that except for those who had conditions that he treated with basically a keto diet that he didn't mention by name. All in all I enjoyed your video however I don't see the need for me to eat a keto diet as I do well blood work wise on my standard low carb diet.
