Ephesians 2: 8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

It's baffling that there are "Christians" who believe Baptism isn't necessary or is just a symbol. The Devil and his minions have a great hold on them. Pray for these people.

First, Protestants get baptized too. Second, you didn’t finish reading the verses. Mark 16:16 says “whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” (ESV). The last bit doesn’t condemn those who aren’t baptized. Furthermore, 1 Peter 3:21 says “and that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” (NLT). Baptism is only effective because of Jesus; Protestants believe it is Jesus who saves, not an act that we partake in. Need I say more? My point is, hand pickings singular verses can be incredibly decisive and shallow.

Well-said. So amazkng. A great gift from God to you brother Alex to fluently and so quick to give that clarification to any question without delay and time to think like all of us. God bless you and give strength and wisdom to defend the Church teachings.❤😂❤❤

baptism is important as a way of identifying us with Christ but it only has meaning if it comes from saving faith Galations 3:26 actually says “For ye are all sons of God, through faith, in Christ Jesus.” Than verse 27 it says “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.” So we are saved by faith alone than baptism follows.

Why is infant baptism considered correct if belief and baptism are supposed to go hand in hand, given that infants cannot believe before being baptized?

The church does say there is such a thing as baptism by desire, but not that there is salvation without any baptism whatsoever.

Baptized with what? The spirit or water? Just like when Jesus said repent for the kingdom of God was at hand. He’s not talking about repenting of sins to be saved, he’s saying repent from unbelief to belief in Christ. Same with this verse. He’s referring to being baptized by the Holy Spirit. Which comes from having full faith in Jesus Christ.

Baptism is an act of honor.Salvation comes from understanding receiving believing and confessing. To understand scripture you have to read it and understand it in the spirit not just carnality.Religion is man made, the power comes when their is a connection and revelation from God .

The “certain men” that came down from Judea in acts 15 preached that you need to be circumcised to be saved it is not by faith alone. And they were disputed by Paul and Barnabas because Paul and Barnabas understood that we are not saved by our “filthy rags” but by gods grace that we are undeserving of. Ask yourself am I like these “certain men”?

No baptism is not required it is a public display of your declaration to God to do what Jesus has done in a symbolic way of his life and death and resurrection.

Just something for the person asking. Not ALL Protestants affim this, pretty much only Baptists. But Presbyterians, Dutch Reformed, Anglican, Lutheran, Methodist. And I can make a whole list, Baptists are those who deny this.

Unfortunately a rebuttal to this is the thief of the cross, he wasn't a Christ follower nor was he Baptized. He ask Yahusha to remember him when he got to his kingdom. Then Yahusha said surely that evening he would be with him in paradise.

But how about the thief on the cross? (Just curious, not here to argue or something)

So, if someone who isn't safe and in life support or about to bleed out on the streets and there's no water nearby and a priest to Baptiste, they're just screwed?
Baptism is just a confirmation to society that you belong to God

So Jesus lied to the theif on the cross? He died before being able to be baptized meaning this would be false

There is water baptism and there is there is spiritual baptism. Being baptized in water does nothing spiritual. John the baptist said in
Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
If water was necessary for salvation why did Paul say in 1 Corinthians 1:17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
