Here's a way to make a DIY isometric training device you may have seen me use!

It costs around $35. Other than the strap, you may be able to find some sturdy material you already have around the house. However, the crane scale I used is often $30+. So in total, maybe $65 or so?

You don't have to do it exactly like I did, either. You essentially just need

-An anchor (the plank, but it could be anything attached to the ground)
-A somewhat stretchy strap (only needs to move SLIGHTLY. You'll feel the difference. The one I got is from searching "Vulken Straps" on Amazon but you can find many similar ones).
-A bar
-Crane scale (optional)

For those interested, I THINK Dragon Door sometimes sells their bar by itself for about half the price of a regular IsoMax. They're sometimes out of stock, but if that interests you, you may want to check it out. No affiliate link or anything - should be easily findable on any search engine.

unrelated but I'm proud! I went to the gym for the first time EVER today! I was really anxious (to the point my watch thought I was jogging while just walking around) so I just walked on the treadmill but I see why people like the gym!

I love my isomax. Low risk of injury. Doesnt make me very sore either. Also recent literature suggests that perhaps if you train at long muscle lengths then not only is hypertrophy greater, but it may give you equal strength gains across every shorter muscle length
