I was the treasurer for a small church for 10 years…every single penny was accounted for. Then the pastor changed…I left the church after they didn’t need my services anymore. They have been through several pastors since. Very sad because I met the Holy Spirit in that church and was given the gift of discernment that I am so grateful for. Thank you…thank you…THANK YOU❣️🙏💖

"I don't have time for broke, busted and disgusted people" and "I don't preach the poverty words were spoken by my former Pastor from the pulpit one Sunday morning. Yes, a Word of Faith couldn't believe he said that....Jesus made time for broke, busted and disgusted people and He died for them! We left that church and haven't looked back!🙌

I attend a Baptist Church, I prefer the Hymnals we do over modern music because it has more focus on what the song means, then sing it in truth and spirit. I used to go to a more modern one, and it was a very emotional feeling thing. Dont get me wrong, I feel emotions when I sing hymnals, but not really like the ones in modern-day. The pastor is a big help for me since it's hard for me to think due to mental conditions. He's patient with me and from what I've seen very wise

Hi Jordan! Unfortunately this is exactly why we left a church. It was basically a concert during worship time, emphasis on tithing too much, always did the “sinner pray” and lastly he would read a few verses and then “speak” the rest of the time.
We have since found a church rooted in sincere worship, sermon is always in the Word and never once has it been said from the pulpit about taking up tithing and never a sinner pray!!
Hard to find but so worth your soul on many levels !! May God bless you and your family. I know you sometimes come under fire for your speaking out but just want you to know your voice is appreciated by so many!!

Another danger sign is any church who will not discipline sinful members or staff. Oh well, just say your sorry and all will be forgiven. No. When someone blatantly continues in sin they are fake. They are supposed to be put out.

Most modern pastors are entertaining the congregation and watering down the gospel. People will never truly know the true gospel. False teachers don't want to offend people but they rather offend God.

My church emphasizes discipleship and actively shuns Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation and those like them. And they make sure to present the Gospel in every single service.

I am extremely new to paying attention to God. Didn’t grow up in church and I’ve been leading myself through this journey. I’ve been asking myself this very question. Where is God in all these church teachings? I’m reading the Bible cover to cover. I’m stalled in Judges but I’m trudging onward. But I’m noticing that God was a bit mad at the Israelites for making a golden calf statue. Got me looking around and noticing all the idols in my own life. However, I’m awake now (awake, not woke 🤮) and I’m resetting my priorities. I don’t want God to be mad at me because I know we are going to have a meet and greet one day. And I want to fall at His feet and beg forgiveness rather than running to his arms for a hug for all I did right. Realize, not so long ago I was selling videos of myself on the internet to strangers. No one stopped me but God. He is real and He wants us back! God bless you whoever is reading this mess of a comment.
