I would just like to say what a wonderful person the Queen was. She had time for everyone. Also she had a really great sense of humour. The Queen will always be remembered for trying to bring people together. I personally felt that as long as the Queen was around we had nothing to fear. She gave us hope that when things were not going well in the UK as a whole we would get through tough times. I had the greatest respect for the Queen and all the challenges she had to face during her time on the throne. I felt that she always gave us hope that we could overcome difficulties if we could all just pull together as a nation. When I first heard of the Queen having passed away I was in total disbelief. I do admit to having shed a lot of tears over her passing. She will now be with her loving husband Prince Phillip. Rest in peace your Majesty. Thank you so much for your life. God Bless.

Even if you’re no royalist, you can’t deny the enormity of this moment. She was arguably the last great universal icon of the 20th century and beyond. She had to shoulder a great legacy, both the good and the bad, that she had largely no power over and maintained great dignity in doing so. I never met her but I will miss her.
