I never thought that I’d wake up to find that today will be one of the most important dates in British history. I never considered that her majesty would pass, at least this fast when I was least expecting it. She survived Covid and countless of other illnesses. As an Australian-American, even though I have no connection to Britain, I feel sad knowing that she is with us no longer. The Queen has been Queen longer than most of us had been alive, and now she is gone. May she Rest In Peace. I will never forget September 8, 2022.
