Yes, he was right; "she's the only constant we've all had in our lives." 😢

She was like a grandmother to people across the whole world.... She was the most loved women... Thank you Queen for your long service to us all

Oh, now it hits me. Yeah, she was the only constant for most of us. A rock. Now she's gone.

It was like my grandma passing all over again, just not as gut wrenching. She was one of my most favorite people to follow. She will definitely be missed ❤

Just walked past Buckingham Palace a few days ago and truly, it doesn’t feel the same…London doesn’t feel the same. HMTQ left a resounding void and her absence is definitely felt…Rest in Peace Ma’am, we miss you terribly 😔

Your duty was a hardship that you handled gracefully over the years. Thank you.

Over here in the US she was such a constant. Really the only one as a direct line to history and WWII. Losing her is like losing our connection. Hoping her family is holding up well.

"She's the only constant we've all had in our lives." Such a heartbreaking poignant statement in a world that's ever changing, sometimes for the worse. May Her Majesty rest in eternal repose 🙏🏻

Hits us old fellows hard. Our parents served and/or lived through the war years were undoubtedly affected but we always had Queen Elizabeth. Her Royal Highness excelled as our "Rock". God Keep our Queen in you embrace.

Her Covid address was the only one that calmed & reassured me. She had seen war, when she said we’d meet again, I believed her. And she was right.

I'm not British nor a constant follower of the Royal Family, but I'm truly affected by Her Majesty's passing. It felt like I've lost a beloved grandmother. It certainly hurts. 😔

My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the whole UK nation. 🙏🏼♥️🇬🇧

Despite all she went through in recent years she remained composed and most graceful.

She was a huge part of many lives, and she just sort of became a feature of Britain itself. You would list things like big red buses and tea and guards with furry hats, and the Queen. Thinking about her would always ground me and comfort me, and she made me feel like a true British woman. She will be so dearly missed for everything she stood for and represent, and some of my oldest family members have never known her to not be the Queen.
R.I.P Queen Elizabeth II 💔🇬🇧
