I have found from experience that it doesn’t work UNLESS you use the 30% acidic vinegar. I used this recipe several times with no success until I used the stronger vinegar, then it works.

What about on fountain grass. Was a young homeowner and didn’t know it was invasive species and it has taken over a lot of my lawn. I tried grass killer but it came back next year. 😥. Would love to get rid of it and not have to try to dig up every single plant🤦‍♀️

I'm so glad I found this. I have a severe sensitivity to most weed killers, despite neighbors use witch's brews of unknown weed killers to kill weeds.
The one that uses the 5 different weed mix. The local deer won't eat or bed down it. My horse, if she gets out, won't eat it. She'll just walk on through it. I get super itching just by contacting grass that's been exposed to it months to a year later. She won't disclose the mix contents.
So just eager to try this once we get warmer temps since the neighbor with the demon's brew weed killer is trying to get everyone to have someone come out and spray weeds since it's spring.
Some plants I've learned are actual medicinal, despite being non-native and considered invasive. I'm reluctant to get rid of them because of that medicinal knowledge as well as to keep our declining honey and bumble bees happy since they enjoy them a lot.

I an in south Africa. We don't have dawn dish soap.
Can we use our or any dishwasher liquid (sunlight dishwashing liquid)???

Does it have to be Dawn dishwashing liquid? Why? I really can’t stand the smell of that stuff. I’m wondering if a different dish soap would work

Does this solution also kill your lawn grass that you want to keep? I have more weeds than grass but I would like to keep the small amount of grass I have left.
