Tip, when spraying weed killer inside beds near desirable plants or bushes use a snow shovel behind the weed you are spraying to prevent over spray.

Great for beds, but for walkways and cement ares I hit it with a butane torch and see immediate results that last about a month, plus it’s fun!

I have a decorative stone drive way & some large rock gardens with mulch. I have spent to much time fighting weeds. So every weekend I go to war on them. I have a 2 gallon pressure sprayer. I add 1 1/2 quarts of 5% white Vinegar. 1 1/4 Box of Table Salt, and fill with water to full line. Then I give a good healthy squirt of the cheapest dish soap I can find. Seal container and shack well. Pump up and go to war.

Effective, Cheap, Safe and it works. I have been doing this for years.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

this is just on time. I wanted something safe to spray on the weeds in my yard, because I don't believe in using chemical weed killers because I realized it was killing the baby rabbits, and other poor animals that lived in my yard. Today while watering my roses I watched about seven very tiny baby bees go from rose bud to rose bud which made me happy and sad because they are dying at an alarming rate out of our selfish desire to have a beautiful lawn regardless of the cost to the environment. I don't have the prettiest lawn but I have one of the healthiest and I have the wild life to prove it.

Roundup is a Potassium-Salt Based Acid. Vinegar is Acetic Acid. Using Vinegar, Salt, plus dish soap to act as a surfactant has very similar toxicity for plants as Roundup for very similar results.

Costco sells table salt in a 3 box pack. I keep it in my garage and pour it in the cracks of my patio or driveway whenever I see a weed and it works like a charm. The salt pours easily straight from the box & there's nothing to mix.

On paver cracks apply "Preen" granular. It prevents weeds from even coming up, lasts years. Or just fill the cracks with salt, same result.

I tried you blend last year on my path ways and driveway cracks. It worked great. And they are gone for good. I'm going to try on my plants areas not hitting the plants of course. Thanks for the great updates.

I use bleaching powder, the algae and weeds haven't grown in last 2 years. Bleach will practically dehydrate the weed by sucking all its water converting it into HCl(hydro chloric acid). Leave it in for a couple of days and it will penetrate and kill it's roots also. A long term solution I adopted for algae and weeds growing on my roof where water stagnates some time due to rains and subsequent dust and moisture situation, due to drainage issues.

For dandelions, I found it appears to kill them, but it only dries out the leaves, and the dandelions come back in a few days. Used 30% vinegar, salt, and Dawn as a surfactant.

I've used a ready to use vinegar weed killer and then the next day came back with a week torch and burned out the dried up weeds. It really helps and make it look better.

Used one gallon 5%of vinegar, 2 cup epsom salt, and 1/4 cup down dish soap mixture works perfect. No need of 30% of vinegar.

The strongest, most concentrated Vinegar available is known as Glacial Acetic Acid. "Glacial" refers to its high concentration of Acetic Acid such that it forms crystals resembling ice at slightly below room temperature. Caution must be used with rubber gloves and a respirator, because Glacial Acetic Acid will burn skin on contact and cause lung irritation if its fumes are inhaled. Using a droplet of Glacial Acetic Acid from a dropper will kill a weed. Glacial Acetic Acid can be diluted with water to make whatever less concentrated Vinegar that is needed.

Two suggestions for those small weeds growing in path / pavers...1...they pull out really easily which costs you nothing..or 2..use near boiling water or water you can keep close to boiling...trickle it onto the weeds and you get the same result as the vinegar.

I used a 50% solution of White Vinegar; I sprayed the mix on to a concrete path which was heavily inundated with thick moss. The moss went from luscious green to brown and dead in 24 Hrs.
