Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) affect millions of people each year. Individuals suffering from TMD may experience similar symptoms, but the affected anatomical structures and causes of injury can be quite different.

Supporting exercises, and patient compliance are critical components of any TMD treatment. The type of exercises that should be prescribed should always be dependent on the patient’s needs, and the current phase of treatment.

Thank you finally a video that has helped relieve some of the pain/discomfort until I see the doctor tomorrow

Appreciate the tip about working both sides. My left side dislocated 2 month ago and it’s taking a long time to heal even with PT and myofascial therapy. Just tried this, and was surprised how tender my right side was at first. Both sides feel some better after, thanks. I’ll mention this to my therapist.

I get a lot of drainage when I do this. I’m guessing that’s common. I love it. This has been so wonderful thank you

Oh my gosh yes, thank you. I’m having a massive flare up that’s lasted several months now. I’m going to be doing this daily now.

This is essentially pin and trap correct? What works for me is sometimes I start with my mouth open and then after a few reps start over with my mouth closed.
