Mounjaro reversed my IR and PCOS inflammation. I was also able to lose (so far) 28 pounds in about 10 weeks after 3 years of counting every calorie, eating like a toddler, and not losing a single pound. My total cholesterol also went from 205 to 155 in a month. I was INCREDIBLY lucky that my insurance is paying for it and it only costs me $54 a month. This drug is life changing.

I just started taking mounjoro and I went on the manufacturer web site and signed up for their cost assistance program. I pay 25 USD for 3 months worth of shots.. 12 shots. I'm really grateful for the help the company is willing to give me. 🥰🤗

I've lost 30lbs since being on Mounjaro. I have thyroid issues and PCOS. Thankfully my insurance covers this. I also take metformin. I will say, this is not for the faint at heart. The stomach issues....ugh. Do not over eat. Have healthy, small meals. If you are too nauseous for food then keep some Ensure type drinks on hand.

Great info! Had heard of compounding pharmacies but never really knew what they were.

I started taking Mounjarno injections and was shocked when I lost 18 pounds in two weeks. After that I have been losing about a half a pound a week. I do notice it keeps me up at night and I am averaging four hours or five hours of sleep, and I was always 8 or 9 hours. I am pretty shocked by the results and only have about 10 more pounds to go to my goal weight so I will try to do it on my own after that. It is the best jumpstart I’ve ever tried and I’m still shocked at losing 18 pounds in two weeks!.

Wegovy is not covered by universal healthcare in the country i come from (Norway), so i have to pay out of pocket for it. Still, i pay only 200$ per month. How come the price does a 7x on its way across the atlantic to the US? Americans are drawing the short straw moneywise on all things health... You need to ask some serious questions over there, because someone is getting filthy rich off you guys.

Pharmaceutical companies will definitely work on long term profits, and that is their purpose. Thanks for sharing your opinion Dr. Hansen.

This answers a lot of questions. I saw a video of one person's horrible experience with "ozempic", but when she gave details, everything sounded so shady. First of all, she had health conditions that should have excluded her from using it, or at least should have made them extra cautious. She talked about the "doctor" using their own special recipe for the drug, so obviously it was a compound and not the real deal. She then talked about how she discussed her disabling side effects with the "doctor" and it wasn't until after many months of use and her own insistence that they agreed she should stop taking it. The way she talked about it, it really sounded like her "doctor" was more like one of those shot clinics, where they have a nurse give you B12 injections. It just didn't seem right to me, so I went ahead and got the legit drug from my primary care doctor that I had a good rapport with, confident that, if I had any issues, they would be supportive.

Pharmaceutical companys are not too interested in one time money from cures, they prefer steady income from symptom management remedies that last for a little while till you look for the next one.
Looking good Dr. Hansen

My Dr put me on Trulicity (Ozempic) for my Diabetes. My A1C dropped to 5.4, a non diabetic level. The years taking Metformin twice daily never accomplished that. Side effect, I lost 40 pounds I carried for 22 years. This further improved numerous health conditions 😊.

This drug has been life altering for me. Was thin all my life-- active and ate healthy. Started gaining weight in my mid 40s and couldn't lose it. My thyroid was removed and that made it worse. My endo said i was heading towards diabetes. Since taking this med I've been able to lose a lot of weight and be more active, able to enjoy riding my bike again, go to the gym. Working on breaking my sugar addiction too. But I'm fortunate that I can drive down to Mexico to buy it. Otherwise I'd never be able to afford it.

Ozempic is a dangerous drug for an older persons with neuropathy. I was prescribed Ozempic for Type II DM. I had two very dangerous falls because Ozempic aggravated orthostatic hypotension to such an extent it caused me to blackout suddenly and fall. The first fall caused a severe break in my left ankle which required surgery, and a head injury. The second fall caused a broken hip. It took weeks of hospitalization before my doctors figured out Ozempic was causing my BP to drop so low I would pass out upon standing. It took eight weeks for Ozempic to clear my system and allow me to stand up without blacking out. No one has mentioned this problem with these types of medications but it should thoroughly be explored.

I was unable to find a compounding pharmacy that had semaglutide, only sodium semaglutide. And, the pharmacists would not sell it since it was not FDA approved (rightfully so).

I just started on this prescription, didn't realize it was the price it was, when the pharmacist said 48$, I asked did my insurance not cover it? And she looks back at the computer screen and she goes oh yeah your insurance covered most of it. I received the bag and saw that my insurance saved me $1148.56.
3 yrs ago I was 305 lbs and I'm now down to 220-225 lbs but haven't been able to get anywhere from there. I'm hoping with this new prescription I'll finally get to my goal of 175.
