I want to note That she mentioned that this person actually has diabetes which one of the complications of uncontrolled diabetes is Gastroporesis which is a "paralyzed stomach".

Gastroparesis and "abdominal pain or nausea" are two VERY different things. A side effect of Gastroparesis is abdominal pain and nausea but Gastroparesis is an entirely separate diagnosis with much more serious consequences than a tummy ache. Speaking from experience

Used both and I'm down 60 lbs in a yr. No issues with any side effects. I'm glad my Dr offered it to me and so blessed that I have wonderful insurance that I got it for a low cost.

I used to be 453 lbs and now I'm 236 lbs 😊 Two bariatric surgeries (2013, 2016) and now these meds have been life changing and increased my quality of life.

Yep. After five months of miserable stomach problems on mounjaro, my stomach stopped.
I ate a bowl of soup on a Wednesday morning and threw it up Thursday night. It took weeks to get my stomach to function again. I got off of mounjaro and gained 55 pounds in about 3 months. It’s been six months since I got off of it and still have nausea and vomiting, constipation and then alternating diarrhea.
Every calorie goes to fat and I’m constantly exhausted. I was put on it for type two diabetes. Not for weight loss.

I’m taking the Zepbound and been on it for almost 2 months. Thankfully, I don’t have horrible side effects, but you have to drink lots of water, eat lots of protein, fruits and veggies and stop that sugar! You can get used to it after a while. I can’t stand to drink coke anymore. Also, you have to know your body and pay attention to what works and what doesn’t. Everybody is different. I had to weigh the pros and cons. I just can’t lose weight and this has helped me, it’s not fast but coming off. I have to lose the weight for my heart, but eating right at the same time. You gotta exercise too! It will be interesting to see what comes of all this for sure.

I've been diabetic for 30 years. One thing I heard is people over compensate their food and sugar intake by taking more insulin in order to keep sugar numbers down. They'll get a slice of chocolate cake and give extra dose of insulin to make up for it. The objective is to keep food at proper levels to take recommended to less insulin perscribed.

It would be really great to be able to get my Ozempic being I'm a diabetic. But it's been on backorder since July because doctors are over prescribing it to non diabetic patients for weight loss.

I have gastroparesis, or stomach paralysis. It is said to come from diabetes, gastric surgeries, and now these medications. None of which apply to me.

I was diagnosed this to assist with my diabetes and for 5+ weeks now, the stomachache/pain, nausea, and diarrhea is horrific. I never had any of these issues before taking ozempic. I think im going to pull myself off of it now after hearing all this.
It really is double you over, or curl up into a ball pain. 😒

It's weight loss for diabetics. The trials were not used for people that simply want to lose weight.

Gastroparesis not only is a common side effect of diabetes, but it's also a rare side effect of pretty much every diabetes drug. I've had gastroparesis since I was 17 (possibly longer, but that's when it was diagnosed) and I didn't even become diabetic until I was in my 30s. That said, every diabetes drug I've tried has caused the gastroparesis to get exponentially worse, aggravated my IBS, and most caused severe lethargy that left me bedridden for several weeks. So, yeah, gastroparesis is not fun.

Every diet drug has side effects.
