I'm a pharmacy tech and it's been crazy between this and trulicity. The frustration and concern between the patients and us was exhausting. Funny how they pulled wegovy for months on a backorder, and all of a sudden had enough to stock as of Jan 1st. Just in time for new years resolutions

I love seeing a professional speak on this topic. I wrote an essay about this a few months ago for a class. My professor is diabetic and was shocked that she hadn’t heard about this.

So, I'm watching this video because of the south park special bringing awareness to Ozempic, and although its a year old the way you tackle these myths and possible side effects truly shows your expertise and desire for accurate research and information. I am happy that you care to seek more research, rather than recommending it with blind trust in its supposed benefits.

Great Video, Definitely subscribing.

I have lymphedema vascular disease and the doctor suggested I use a Ozempic and I am not kidding. I have been in agony pain for six years since I’m taking a Ozempic my pain and swelling went down and of course I’m doing all the diet and exercise and. It’s a life changer.

I want to chime in on my perspective. I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome - a hormonal imbalance) 8 years ago, and I've been struggling with my weight for 10 years (constantly going up or remaining stagnant despite my lifestyle changes). At my heaviest last year, my BMI was >50. This medicine has been a gamechanger for me. I take the wegovy version, and once I started it, the weight finally started coming off. It has been so gratifying to have efforts actually go somewhere. The exercise and nutrition I have been working on for years are finally starting to work. My body is working with me instead of against me. I really wish the people who need it (those who are diabetic or obese that don't respond to "normal" interventions) are able to get it.

As a pharmacy intern (graduating this May!!) I’m so glad you touched on the “eat anything you want” myth. A lot of my patients say they’re having such terrible GI effects and feeling overfull, and it turns out no one told them that they have to eat slower and decrease their portion sizes.

I’m pre-diabetic with a BMI of 32+ (it was 37+ 3 months ago) and I take Ozempic. But I also workout, see a nutritionist, a health and wellness coach, and check in with my doctor and pharmacist monthly. This isn’t a miracle drug, it’s a tool.
The biggest thing for me is that it has silenced the constant food noise. I no longer think about food all day every day. It’s so nice to now eat for nutrition and fuel, making better eating choices because I’m not constantly thinking I’m starving, only eating until I’m satisfied and not finishing everything on my plate because “it’s just too delicious to stop eating.”
I don’t agree with people taking it as a quick fix to fit into that dress or drop 10-15 lbs. but I do agree with it being used as a preventative measure for those who are very obese. Diabetes runs in my family, my great grandmother went blind from diabetes the last 6 mos of her life. I need to take action now to be healthy so I can live longer and not get diabetes.

I have a diseased thyroid and pituitary. Having balanced hormones has been a constant, lifelong battle for me. I've been overweight or obese for a decade now. I started Wegovy 2 months ago under the advisement of my endocrinologist, and it has CHANGED MY LIFE.

I’m a Type 2 on Mounjaro and one of the biggest impacts it has had is that it has finally turned off the food noise in my brain that I’ve had my whole life. It’s like the antidepressants of weight loss. I can finally eat like a normal person instead of obsessing over food all day.

Thanks for telling the truth of this issue! As a pharmacist in Australia I’m so frustrated that this has gone on so long! We still have a waiting list a mile long!

There was a news media here on YouTube that didn't even go to a doctor they asked for online.Great Video.

Thank you! This was perfect timing for me, because I was just given a prescription for Ozempic. This has been a huge worry in my life lately, as I have heart failure and kidney and lung failure. I can't afford to damage them more than they are. My doctor didn't seem to be concerned about that, but that seems odd too.

I remember ozempic being advertised on TV for years and it literally says “not to be used as a weight loss medication” yet the company turns around and sells it as a weight loss drug😭

I'm a registered dietitian. THANK YOU for everything in this video. Health isn't just weight or the number on the scale, but I have worked with several doctors who speak to patients like it is. Weight loss is affected by so many other factors including stress, poor sleep, certain medical conditions, medications. And thank you for addressing the risks of yo yo dieting.

As a person on Semaglutide with a doctor who focuses on nutrition and working out regularly it annoys me that people think those of us are all uninformed....there are always going to be out there who want a quick fix and will misuse products.

I was borderline diabetic. I also had non alcoholic fatty liver disease. I never felt full when I was eating. I started to take ozempric and it has helped me feel full from eating. I’ve done this in conjunction with a lifestyle change of Mediterranean lifestyle. Taking the medication alone won’t solve everything

Thank you so much. The over-eating info was very helpful!

I was affected by this. I was originally on Trulicity and I had to go months without Trulicity because of the shortage and as a result my a1c shot back up to a dangerous level. I was back at square one. My doctor and I tried to see if I can switch on over to ozempic since we couldn’t find Trulicity anywhere but that was also shocker not available anywhere. In the meantime my doctor gave me two Trulicity samples that wasn’t even my normal dose because of the shortage. I felt just at a loss and so sad because I couldn’t get a medication I so desperately need because so many people who don’t necessarily need it were being prescribed it.
