After the 3rd battle of Panipat, Punjab became a battleground between Sikhs and Afghans. The Sikhs, under Jassa Singh Ahluwalia and Charat Singh (grandfather of Ranjit Singh), fought the forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali and defeated them many times. Abdali retaliated by attacking and desecrating the Sikh Holy places, including the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) in Amritsar. Who won the battle of Punjab? Let's find out.

During the battle of Vadda Ghallughara at Kupp Rohira in 1762, an unusual thing happened . while both sides were engaged in deadly clash, suddenly daylight turned into darkness. In fact it was total solar eclipse. Both sides stopped fighting momentarily.
