I grave carbs. I do eat unbuns. I am super strict Keto because I was on diabetes medicine for years...I am off medicines now over a year. A1C down to 5.8 still working hard. Do not have weight problem 5'2 118lbs. Thanks for what you do.

Bite of bitter, yes I’ve found this to work very well. I’m working through big time sweets addiction but one or two of my favorite castelvetrano olives and BOOM instant redirect. I just have to be sure the left hand reaches for them more quickly than the right hand reaches for a donut lol. Like an ambidextrous gun slinger!! Great vid thanks.

1. Exogenous ketone supplement: Appetite suppression, increase in satiety, and degrease in ghrelin hormone.
2. Soluble fiber: From fermentation in the gut breaks it down into short-chain fatty acids. Short term fatty acids work as a signaling device. Signal {HDAC} which help gene expression, essentially help make changes in diet cemented. Also, soluble fiber gives fuel to the cells. (Such as psyllium husk – which is satiating) (for bread cravings - unbun foods)
3. Resistant starch: Butyrate. Resistant starch does not break down, ferments in the gut, and again, breaks down into short-term fatty acids (Butyrate) this fuels cells that signal your brain to not crave carbs. Just a small amount increases Butyrate levels 29%. (some examples are cooled sweet potato/ potato 1/4 C serving works for anyone.)
---Want to be clean keto, can eat artichoke the night before, no carbs. Artichoke contains long-chain inulin that has a similar effect.
4. Thylakoid containing foods: (Deep leafy greens--kale, swiss chard, bok choy) activate {CCK} craving decrease 36%, stops sweet AND salty cravings.
5. 600 MCC of chromium: utilize glucose, helps bring Glut4 (an insulin-regulated glucose transporter) to the surface of the cell membrane to bring glucose in. Also effect on brain receptors that reduce cravings.
6. MCT oil: Triggers a later appetite suppressant for anyone keto or not because absorbs so fast triggers adrenalin norepinephrine.
7. Bitter response kills carb cravings increase levels of cholecystokinin {CCK} -which is normally secreted when the digestion phase starts. So, signals that you already ate.

I did keto for 3 years and initially lost weight but recently started to gain weight.. I decided to do a week on carbs then week on Keto on a repetitive basis.. I've since lost all the weight I put back on. Thomas maybe you could do a video on week on carbs/week on keto? It has worked for me so I don't have to crave carbs as they are now part of my diet again

Ahhhh, caarrrbs... I have the WORST cravings, leading up to my monthly cycle. It is insanely hard to overcome. Coupled with the hormone shift, and I am super emotional. It is just a recipe for disaster. Even more difficult, if I give in- it is so hard to shift back into gear. I will try this, as at this point I don't know how else to overcome. Seems like it is grtting more difficult as I get older. Thanks, Thomas!

Cravings are real! I craved eggs for a hot minute until I realized the reason was I was super low on vitamin D for a while. Increased vitamin D and now I enjoy my eggs when I eat them but I don't crave them. Sometimes the cravings you have are your body just trying to tell you something.

I agree, on my own experience, I've craving in the aftenoon, when I had carbs during the lunch. Then I'm foraging in my fridge and kitchen for something sweet.

I have tried cooked cold potatoes and then checked my glucose meter. According to my meter there is no such thing as resistant starch. My blood sugar went up just like it always does when eating carbs.
