Long story short, I came from a large family. 9 children and there was very little food to feed us. Went to bed hungry most nights. So when I grew up, I decided that I didn’t want to be hungry any longer. I had my own money and I began to eat all the food I wanted and all the food I had been deprived of. No more hunger. So in the meantime, I gained 100 pounds over a few years and developed diabetes. I said enough is enough and took hold of the situation and now I am down to a normal weight and I maintain it. I omitted all the sugar and junk food. By the way, I battled a brain tumor during this time. I realized that if I can get thru a brain tumor removal, I can do anything. Thank you Jesus.

I was 340 lbs. I lost 120lbs. I had high blood pressure and was not feeling good at all. I had an encounter with the Lord Jesus and it changed everything. I workout regularly riding my bike or jogging, and try not to eat fast food or processed foods as well. I also do fasting which helps me tremendously. I am on a 40 day fast of no food just water. I'm on day 33 right now and I've lost another 48lbs so far. Eating fresh organic foods is the best thing for us. Here in the United States the food is meant to slowly kill us and keep big pharma companies rich off us being sick from the fake food we eat. It's terrible when you actually see the truth behind it.

I just found this Bible Proverb. Proverb 27:7 A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb, but to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet. Your soul is your mind your will and your emotions. This proverb has changed my heart and my sugar addition. God bless!

It took me until I was in my 60’s to finally get real about my obesity and health. I have lost 90 pounds in the last 2 years. I’ve got 50 more to go. As a child of alcoholics I was/ am addicted to sugar. I still cannot kick the cravings completely. For me it has to be all or nothing. Even one little sweet treat can send me spiraling out of control. On the back of Primal Kitchen products the found says” eat like your life depends on it” I love that quote, it is so true. My other mantra ( although I don’t always abide by it) is, you can’t eat it if you don’t bring it in the house. Good luck everyone. It takes a lot of strength and dedication.

It took me 2 years to go from 275 lbs to 188lbs. I still have 20 lbs to go. I am a sugar addict. It doesn't go away, I had to severely reduce it. Ice cream is a trigger food for me. Everyday is one step forward. It's a lifelong process. I'm 40 and I wish I had done this earlier in life.

I lost 110 pounds in 10 months ..kept it off for 4 years. Then covid hit...gained about 20...then my beautiful mom got sick and being her caregiver and watching her suffer daily took its toll. When she passed away unexpectedly I went into a rabbit hole of grief and depression and gained at least 50 more. But, grief and sadness aren't excuses to neglect yourself and your goals and your temple. My turning point was going to the store and not being able to fit some 'baggy' size 16 jeans. I didn't harp on myself. I gave myself grace and love and understanding. Bought the jeans and decided right there in that dressing room that I owed it to myself to be my best. To get back to discipline and being proud of my reflection. I'm back on this horse like I never left and I feel great. To anyone reading this, you can do it. You have control of yourself. You are powerful beyond belief. Just do it. Sent with love.

You described the Standard American diet. I’m Mexican American as well so I grew up eating beans and rice and hearty, healthy food when my mom was off of work and then fending for myself the days she worked which were a lot. So she stocked us up with stuff that was easy for us to make (boxed Mac & Cheese, canned soups, frozen burritos, pizzas, etc) my whole life I’ve been trying to overcome those habits and food addictions. It’s hard!!

Hi Myra!! I want to start of by saying, I love your content. You are one of my favorite Instagram pages. I was addicted to sugar and processed foods. I decided to make a lifestyle change 01/05/2021 to quit sugar and eat keto. I found out I have hyperthyroidism and My weight was 286. My 3 year anniversary of keto/no sugar is coming up. I’ve lost 135 pounds and kicked my sugar/processed food addiction. I’m so proud of myself. Thank you for sharing your story ❤❤❤

I have struggled all my life with my weight, and I am addicted to sugar. I am now in my late 60"s and yes I still struggle. Hearing you talk about sugar was like a eye opener!! I eat sugar all day, will even eat sugary things over real food. I will start today (again on this journey) thank you so much!! Lynn

My wake up call was being diagnosed with Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. On July 1, 2023 I started a low carb diet. I was 268lbs that day. Today, 12/27/23, I weighed in at 190lbs. I've still got some pounds to go, but the journey has been incredible, and rewarding. I've gone from a 2XL shirt to a large. My liver function blood tests are normal. I had microscopic blood in my urine for 10+ years. It's gone. Blood pressure medication for 15+ years. Gone. Erectile Disfunction. Gone. Sleep apnea. Gone! And you're 100% correct. The cravings stop. I was walking by Christmas snacks all week at work. Never felt the desire to have one. You can actually beat the food processors. And it feels great.

I lost 32 lbs doing a low carb diet and lifting weights.
My one tip that really has been my go to is making a bigger dinner so that you have lunch for tomorrow! Each and every day. This helped on those days where I’m heavy in work meetings and the last thing I want to do is figure out what to make for lunch. I already know what’s for lunch and it’s not going to ruin my eating plan!

I’m 42 and just diagnosed with Diabetes type 2. I’m so ready to make that turn around. This is an extremely inspiring video. I think I’ve always been so confident In myself I’ve been in denial of a reason to change. This diagnosis and my chronic lack of energy are what’s really pushing me to flip the switch. Can’t wait to watch more.
