Don't show Scotty Kilmer these high mileage ecoboosts! He'll lose his mind!

230, 000 miles on the 3.5 eco in my fully optioned, highest curb weight F150. Just did a water pump at 227, 000, and a high pressure fuel pump at 229, 000. Nothing else on the truck has needed work outside of maintenance. I was die hard V8 before this but the refinement, reliability and the power delivery has given me great respect for this motor.

I’m driving a 2011 F150 crewcab XL 4x4 5.0 V8 with 283, 000 miles. Still running great!

Just crossed 247, 000 miles on my 2013 F 150 5.0 4x4 STX. Still going strong. Hope to get another 50, 000 miles. V8 all the way.

Thank you for finally doing high mileage long term reliability videos!!! This is a big deal because I like to keep my vehicles for at least 10 years and I usually buy them around 90k miles to start with.

Whoever came up with the idea for these videos ( I suspect Tommy) deserves a raise!

I finally traded my 2012 eco boost away in July 2019 but still had the original coil packs at 250, 000 miles. I should have changed them but had no problems, safe to say I went with another 3.5.

I respect the first guy so much. Knew exactly what he needed for his daily life plus some fun and got what he needed. Just the necessities and no wasted money. Every part fo that truck is functional and he's taken good care of it.

At age 66 I still do my own repairs on my 2014 5.0. It has room to work on it. 130, 000 miles one upper hose O ring leak and a set of sparkplugs. Engine oil changes every 3-5, 000 with everything else oil/fluid at 24, 000 miles just because that is how I have always done. Added Powerstop tow brake system to front and pads at rear. That's all so far pulling a 7, 000# travel trailer 8, 000 miles most years. Love your channel !

I had a 2.7 eco boost 2015. I own a 5.0 2018 with a Roush cold air intake. Both did very well. The 2.7 had 50, 000 miles with zero problems. I traded it because I retired. I wanted a little more sound so most exhaust shops wanted about 1200 dollars. Tuffy muffler cut out the factory muffler and then installed a performance one. The cost was 279.00 dollars and sounds great. Towing a 5000 lbs camper will average 9.5 mph to11.5 mph. Over all I like the 5.0 with the modifications that were done. The fuel mileage is close to the same on both . I am a big fan of FLT keep up the good work. When I get 250, 000 it will be time for a video.

Notice he gets the throttle bodies from Autozone. Should get the Motorcraft part, Ford updated the design and it’s way more reliable.

I’ve always been a V8 person
I was talked into the 3.5 V6 twin turbo eco boost and honestly I am loving it more so than the V8

I had an 2014 F-150 Platinum Ecoboost with the long bed and it was an extremely well built truck. Quiet as a limousine and very powerful. Perfect for work or business. Also I never had to change a throttle body nor did the backup camera have issues.

I have a 2015 4X4 Lariat with 3.5 Eco, 115K miles. It's been rock-solid reliable, and with the big Eco, it's actually a pleasure to drive. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. I'll try to remember to update this post when I cross 200K.

Mines a 99 F350 with the 7.3 powerstroke. 430k miles. I've done every oil change but 3 of them. 3500 to 4000 miles between oil changes. Still runs great.

2003 F-150 xl 4.2L manual transmission Single cab short bed 190, 000 miles. Dad bought it new from the dealership. Doing a clutch system overhaul is the only major repair I have ever had to do. Very impressed with the durability. It has been abused and overworked constantly, but never quits!
