I do 5 minutes before weights and then 20-30 minutes after weights. My journey is to lose fat and gain muscle.

I am a 60 year old life long learner. I love reading and watching fitness videos and to educate myself. Your videos are spot on and very informative and backup the best practices I have been seeing both in the research (literature) and other quality fitness YouTubers... Thanks for putting out great content!

hello there..i am 58 male from INdia...i was just walking for half an hour everyday and was not doing any bodyweight strength training for past five years as I suffered a mild heart attack and a stent is placed in my heart...recently my doctor said that i can do bodyweight strength training.. in the beginning i was walking for half an hour and then doing bodyweight strength traiining but was feeling tired....now what I do is that at 4.30 am after i get up i drink two glasses of water and do 15 minute of arm swinging etc exercises to loosen by shoulders, chest etc..and then do just 20 minutes of bodyweight strength training..beginning from forward lunges, squat, cot lifting, plank, push ups, glute bridge and frog lift in this order...just one set each of 10 reps....i am feeling good now...kindly let me know which is more benefical? i mean doing body strength training first and then walking or vice versa?

If you are looking to gain muscle and loose fat how much cardio is to much? Don’t want to loose muscle

Hey!!! So i have hit a plateau for 2 years. I really don't lift a lot of weights because of a bad back. Cardio and lightweight training helped me lose 120+ pounds in 2018 in a matter of months naturally. I had to gain weight in order to fix something on my belly, but now i can't lose it. Super frustrating

I workout every other day with this model: Leg Day - Cardio Bike - Upper Body - Cardio Treadmill and then repeat. I can only commit to an hour a day (including warm up and cool down)

Does this seem like a routine that could get me to lose fat and gain lean muscle?

I workout at the gym 3-4 times a week. I do about 1 hour weight training and 45 minutes cardio. I’ve improved in both cardio and weight since I started working out 3.5 years ago, but i don’t see much results in shape of my body or strength. For example I still can’t do push-ups or some other things. It’s extremely disappointing why my progress stopped and went to a maintenance mode ...

I’ve been strength training 3 times a week pretty consistently for 3 months and eating better than I used to (had some bad weeks in between). I know that I’m getting stronger but I haven’t seen results in terms of fat loss (ie I look and weigh the same). What am I doing wrong?

let me also say that i am not a body builder or aspiring to be one at the age of 58..My aim is to be fit...so i do bodyweight strength training and no lifting of weights and then walk..of course i also do yoga breathing

She is 100% correct. It depends on your goal. Another youtuber said the same thing. If you want to improve on a sport then perform sport related exercises first and cardio and then go strength only to gain muscle then do weights first.
