Let me guess.... it's gonna be "it depends"

While yes you should do cardio last, on that i agree, remember to always warm up properly! For instance with a little cardio, and then do your main cardio after the workout.

I punish my fat, pale ass with cardio first, lifting after, five days a week. I have lost 78lbs in five months. I will keep this lovely transformation going.

The first thing i do in the gym is a 10 min cardio. I feel that its a great warmup and gets me just the adrenaline rush i need for my workout!

if you're planning to do both
step 1 - stretch and warm up a little bit
step 2 - lift and work your muscles, stretch between sets if needed.
step 3 - go do some cardio but don't forget to stretch after the session.

I did an hour of chest and triceps yesterday, and then I did 20 mins of cardio BUT forgot to stretch my legs before and after; today my calf muscles are so right and so sore, i cannot walk!

Running before lifting is my go to just because it warms my body up ENTIRELY making it easier to stretch the lower and upper body.

For me I find easier to warm up with cardio before lifting especially since I wake up early to do my workout and I’m not a morning person so cardio gets me hot

Short answer: Weights first > Cardio After
There, saved you 4 minutes of video.

I lift first and do Cardio later. That feels right for me. I experienced early fatigue if I do Cardio first.

In short do them separately for the most optimal results, and weights first if you need to do them on the same day. Simple

I do cardio first and doesnt affect my lifting at all so yes i agree with this video, it depends on your goals.

One thing I feel like we seem to forget is that the mind controls the body. You can run before you lift and still perform amazingly in the weight room after. You just have to be willing to push yourself past any perceived limits you may feel.

I always do a light session of cardio before weight workout (even when trying to pack on strictly mass). Studies show that lifting directly after cardio yields a higher testosterone spike than lifting by itself. This of course means faster recovery and better gains. After the weight session, lighlty stretch, and do main cardio workout, and finish with just a couple lifts to maximize that test spike then do a full routine stretch. Might be over thinking it, but I've tried several different styles and this is what leaves me feeling the best and shows best results. Maximizes strength, cardio, recovery, and flexibility.

I have always ran before lifting. I went from (starting day at the gym) barley finishing half a mile to (present day) running 5k in a little over 21 minutes in the span of about 3 years. Today is the first time i see this and i hope it will greatly improve my speed because im looking to run the 5k in under 20 minutes. Side note, this was posted right next to my birthday day so it seems like a sign.

Thanks for the video. I prefer to do some light cardio for a warm up, then lift, then heavy cardio. If you do heavy cardio first, you sweat a lot, and that means leaving puddles of sweat around the gym, which is kind of rude. If you are going to do heavy cardio first, you need to hydrate before lifting weights.
