I do weights before cardio. I find that if I do cardio first i almost don’t have much energy left for my weight exercises.

The majority of fitness experts will advise you to do the cardio after the weight training, because if you do cardio first, it uses up much of the energy source for your anaerobic work (strength training) and fatigues the muscles before their most strenuous activity. Also Doing cardio after weight training burned more fat during the first 15 minutes of that cardio workout versus starting with cardio and then lifting, according to a study published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.

a light warm up is fine before a work out but you don't wanna exhaust yourself before you even touch a weight

I always prefer cardio before weights. I run 1 mile then stretch for 10 minutes and then lift. With all that extra oxygen and blood flowing I always get great lifts and I feel very energized! But if I do cardio after lifting I'm too tired to go for very long.

Cardio energizes me for my lifting. Also After lifting, i’ll probably skip it bc i hate cardio. So best to get it out the way. I tell myself after you do the cardio you can do the fun part. Lol

Resistance training can double up as cardio, especially leg work - really gets the heart pumping. For high intensity cardio - for me - it's best to do it on another day.

Even if you leave cardio for later, you still have to do 5 min of cardio before weights, just for a warmup. Warm-ups drastically improve performance .

I split it up. 15 mins of cardio and 15 mins after. 12 incline 3.5 speed.

cardio before weights is great for endurance, while weights before is great for calorie burn and strength training

When I did orange theory, I always did weight training first because I saw that when I was tired, my form on weights was bad and I wasn't getting a good workout. I can run when tired from lifting but it was nearly impossible to lift as heavy or do good form when lifting if I had already ran!

I used to do it after weights but I started getting exertion headaches and had to stop. Now I have to warm up first, doing cardio while at the same time doing breathing exercises and chugging water. 😩

There is some new research suggesting that the interference effect may not be as great as once thought. Still overall better to separate the two but may not always be possible due to time constraints
