There are a lot of foods that can support the brain. But, some of these foods are better than others based on their nutrients.

Foods that support cognitive function can help improve:
• Attention
• Perception
• Memory
• Learning
• Reasoning
• Planning
• Problem-solving
• Decision making
• Multitasking

The right nutrients are essential to boost cognitive function. But, even more than that, the fuel you run your brain on is the most important thing. The best fuel for the brain is ketones.

The best nutrients to support the brain:
1. Vitamin B1
2. Vitamin D3
3. Zinc
4. BDNF
5. DHA

There is a big connection between your gut and your brain. It’s essential to support your gut to help improve your cognitive function.

The best foods to support your gut health are fermented foods, such as:
• Sauerkraut
• Kefir
• Kimchi
• Fermented vegetables

The #1 best brain food to boost cognitive function:
• Wild-caught salmon

Foods high in vitamin B1 to support cognitive function:
1. Nutritional yeast (unfortified)
2. Sunflower seeds
3. Pork

Things that deplete vitamin B1:
• Alcohol
• Refined sugar
• Refined carbs
• Tea
• Caffeine
• Stress
• Antibiotics
• Certain medications, like metformin or diuretics
• Chocolate

The very best things you can do for your brain are to get on the Healthy Keto diet and do intermittent fasting. After that, you need to consume foods high in vitamin B1 and avoid things that will deplete B1.

My parents used to tell me fish was brain food. I guess they were correct. Since watching your videos about a year ago, I've been eating salmon about 3-4 times per week and I'm feeling fantastic. Thank you for all you do, Dr.

Great message Doctor. You have taught me the importance of always having a can of sardines and tuna in my fridge. Costco sells sardines in extra virgin olive oil. Easy and delicious. A mouthful for my dogs every day as well. Best to you.

I've been severely deficient in many vitamins and minerals over the years leading to a multitude of cognitive problems. I recently started eating liver and I'm now experiencing huge and very noticeable changes in my mental health. I feel amazing, my memory is improving, my knees no longer ache, I'm sleeping better, I could go on. I never thought in a million years that eating liver could be life changing but for me, at least, it has been.

❤ this report, Dr Berg. Because of you, I started Keto diet 01/10/22 and have lost 54 lbs to date and feel great. I was a complete sugar junky and have not had sugar since day one. Giving up sugar was painful, but I did it! Your videos have been a wonderful learning experience to truly healthy living. Previous to Keto diet, I recognized that my brain function was suffering (rapid-fire thinking was completely gone 😨), and all of the vitamins and supplements I was taking helped a little, but none of that compared to the results of IF w/Keto!

I recently made my first recipe of fermented Sauerkraut and it is awesome (best I have ever had)! And, I have noticed a difference for the better over Kefir. I am currently looking at several Kimchi recipes and process for my next fermenting project.
Salmon Ceviche is the bomb!

Foods like Salmon, Avocados and foods high in Omega 3s are also massively important for anyone on a serious spiritual path as well. On a scale of 1-10 it is an 11. Consider fermented Skate liver oil.

It’s interesting that any nuts that looks like the brain it actually good for the brain! Walnuts and pecans are excellent brain foods the creator tried to make it easy for us!

I have really found that sauerkraut a few times a week whether it's with sausage or just on a ham or turkey sandwich really does wonders. But I am thoroughly impressed with the kefir which I blend with 1 cup kale and one cup blueberries and 1 Cup water. This is the best thing I've found so far especially for my liver

Thank you so much Dr. Berg! Could you do a short and sweet video geared for teenagers on this topic? My teen has 3 friends who have attempted suicide in the past year, and it's becoming all too common. Parents are scratching their heads, and I would love for parents and teens to know that along with therapy and meds (if needed) there are lifestyle changes that can greatly improve their mental health.

May The God Of Heaven and Earth Blessings be upon you.
I had these symptoms and every doctor that I told them to never ever diagnose my symptoms. They didn’t even care. I felt like there was a red flag by my name, to treat me as I was nothing.
Man I thank God for you. I am very grateful to God for you and the knowledge that you freely give to us whose trying to figure out what’s going on with our health issues.
You are truly an Amazing Angle right here on earth.
I pray that you will be blessed all the days of your life.
Thank You again respectfully.

Thank you for the effort you put into making these videos, Dr. Berg. You helped me see food in a different light, being a university student I don't get much time to think about what I eat and I end up eating on a calorie deficit, your videos have been very helpful. I'm really glad I subscribed to your channel. Have a great day!
