We have found that we like to cook the pork, then immediately portion and freeze it, rather than freezing it raw. Then, we reheat at 275 degrees for about 2 hours (to 145 internal temp) right out of the freezer. It comes out moist and delicious every time. I usually smoke a couple of large loins, and portion it out to 6-8 dinners for 2.

Just tried a new recipe, we slow cooked then shredded. Normally we would have made pulled pork sandwiches, this time we made pork tacos. My guys loved it! Needed a little more taco seasoning, but was very good.

You can also slice it thin, pound it out with a mallet, coat it with breading and egg mixture to make schnitzel.

Easy trick to keep juicy, cook on a bed of onions... great flavor and locks in those juices!

Oh my word~ what an awesome "short" Laura! We've been singing the praises of those whole pork loins for years now, & you're so right, they are amazingly versatile. =) Every so often, they go on sale @Fry's for closer to $1.00lb, maybe $1.29 was the lowest I've seen it recently. When it does though, we buy a few for the deep freeze every time. One of my favorite ways to cook it is w/mustard & fresh tarragon 'paste' that I make~ lots of garlic & some coconut aminos & pepper- voila'! Best leftovers too because it doesn't dry out as easily.

Great idea. I've cut them in 1in thick slices, then brine in Salty water for 1hr or 2 .bake, grill or fry to 135 degree, turns out very moist.

In addition to proper internal temp, you can also freeze marinade to drive the seasoning and moisture into the meat to make sure they aren’t tough.

I feed my 6 dogs carnivore, and they love those pork loins. I also instapot pork butt for them. We get hamburger and london broils on sale at the grocery store. They love it.

I saw this same cut from Costco used on the Mad BBQ Scientist channel as a cheap smoked meat. Just got my first one.

I’m so glad yo see your videos. They are informative and concise. I have an air fryer, but no dehydrator. I wonder…

We’ve been doing a lot more pork too. I’m going to try the jerky and meat chips. I just figured out how to make jerky and have been loving it.

Love those ideas! I have not done it myself, but the chip pork loins are amazing. I've been buying some from a company called carnivore crisps who basically does that cutting super thin, and dehydrating method with all different cuts of meats, and I have been loving those. It's like eating chips, but its meat! It's definitely cheaper if you do it yourself though so I may try my hand at it, and see how it goes. Thanks for the video!

We do pork souvlaki chunks in the oven. Just toss 1"cubes with greek seasoning, water, and olive oil (or whatever). Bake at 400F for 15 minutes. So good, quick, and easy.

Pork loin is a very good cut of meat too. High in protein to fat ratio, yet still have a bit of the fatty pork taste.
