Anyone —— that thinks this is a scam, it’s 100% not. I say this as a licensed Realtor in 2 states. First, the original buyer already knew that the original price was 1.95 mil. That’s public info obviously, he was already looking at the price. He simply said as a principle that “he doesn’t pay full price” - So Ryan, representing the seller and only having a (fiduciary responsibility to the seller), had the ability to publicly raise the price to 2.5mil. Here’s the thing about rich people, usually they want to FEEL like they are winning or getting their way. Ryan was smart enough to know that it wasn’t about the price… as was proved… it was about the man feeling like he won. The buyer knew that he had essentially forced the seller to appease his principal, thus not giving in, thus winning the battle. The real prize to rich people is WINNING.
