I remember finding your videos when i was 15. Im 26 now. But there was a time where i lost your channel for a while and forgot your name but your last name seemed to ring a bell.

I think its great you still make these videos a decade later.

“Embrace your shyness.” I couldn’t concur more. I actually think it’s to one’s benefit to be a bit mysterious or reserved.

Hello Marie! Can you talk about how to handle overexplaining yourself? Bullies benefit from this and should be talked about more. And I love hearing you talk about these things. It helps me feel safe. 💯✨

Best!

This couldn't have come at a better time. I recently started working at a new job. This person has been nitpicking my work and trying to call out my mistakes during meetings. I want to respond so badly but I've already had a 1:1 with the team lead and they say I'm doing great so I'm not worried about it anymore but it is still quite annoying. So I'll just keep doing what you said and keep busy.

Very important to only keep conversations work related. I worked with someone who was my CHILDHOOD FRIEND! Our families were friends too. After a long time I realized she went to our boss and told her I did not need a raise and if I ever vented to her, she reported it with lots of addition and frosting to our boss to get better promotions. I trained her for that job.

Work people are just acquaintances, not friends. Every job I've held meant avoiding certain obnoxious 'boss favorites'!!

Agree, being shy can be a superpower at work. Shy people get things done and tend to stay out of drama. I received an update on HR policy earlier this year that even if I talk negatively about something at work “in my own home” it can be reported!

Hey Marie, last year I introduced three separate friends to each other, forming a friend group of four. While we all initially enjoyed each other's company, I noticed that they all had more in common with each other than with me. Feeling left out and anxious when we hung out, I worried they would realize they didn't need me and would drift away. So, before the school year ended, I distanced myself from them. At first, I felt fine, but by the end of summer, I missed them. Now, seeing them together at school, I feel lonely. I have other friends, but I miss the dynamic of that group. I'm torn between trying to reconnect, risking rejection or an awkward reunion. I fear I've destroyed the friendship completely. I know that I want to at least try to repair things so do you have any advice as to what would be a good start?

Hey marie! Love your videos so much. Was wondering if you have any advice for a 21 year old girl who feels like her life is slipping away! :(
I unfortunately found myself amidst political unrest resulting in a full blown war in my home country about a year ago and my university career was interrupted, im set to start next year and I have about a year's time on my hands and starting college at 22 years old which is the age alotta people graduate definitely makes me feel devastated at times.
Watching your videos makes me so happy thank you for your content!
