Resistance Bands: When and How to Increase Resistance

If you’ve been training with Undersun resistance bands for a while now, you may be asking yourself when to go up in resistance and how to do so. This is a question that I get a lot.

We all reach a point where we start to feel our results plateau. The way to get past this, is to go up in resistance during your TA2 workouts. It’s all about perceived exertion, you have to be able to take a moment to ask yourself ‘can I do more’?

As you progress throughout the program, your muscles start to adapt to the amount of tension they’re under. You’ll soon notice that the number of reps you were doing before may feel a little too easy now. If you’ve reached your highest rep count and you feel like you could pump out four or five more - that’s your clue to go up in resistance.

Using a door anchor, you can also measure the steps from the anchor point

This is is an awesome tip! I love undersun bands and use them more than free weights for my busy lifestyle and to not wear my joints down. I would love to see an XX heavy band in the product line in the future. God willing!

I’ve recently just switched from weight training to resistance band only training and I will say I’ve gained a noticeable amount of muscle and definition(veins), but I’ve also have no more back pain

love undersun but have a question. When adding resistance, was wondering what the best way is to keep track lets say of when you move your hands down on the band, how to mark it so next time you will be at the right resistance and not be easier. Since its so easy to increase or decrease just with a slight hand movement, how to properly know where you are at. I hope this makes sense lol Great vid and love undersun bands
