Most painful when it’s your family, when you had no choice to begin with and then you’re groomed to be attracted to abusers. I want to have a healthy relationship but I’m so scared now, I’m just continuing to work on myself and heal. People don’t understand unless they’ve been through it.

Thank you for talking about the vindictiveness that's often part of narcissistic abuse. Many people just can't believe someone would do or say something with the intent to hurt, let alone enjoy it. When trying to explain these experiences to others we often have our experiences minimized because of this. Especially if the narcissist is more covert and or tries to portray themselves as a victim even though they are the ones doing the harm. This is crazy making behavior and I wish it were talked about more.

Always remember, the childish vindictive narcissist has "a list" and they love putting everything on it that you do or say so they can use it against you later. That "list" is usually saved for when they want the excuse to discard you unexpectedly.
