Yep, they would get all worked up and bent out of shape everytime I said "I was busy". I would get called every bad name in the book and was a horrible person in their eyes. Every time they were busy I had no problem saying "ok, give me a call when you are free", but that sentence was absolutely impossible for them to say. They have such a sad and miserable existence.

I've done all these things. I have even want to hear about HIS children, HIS grandchildren, HIS FORMER step-mom and HER kids, but he continues to tell me about them. I have even starting wearing headphones when I'm on my laptop so I don't have to listen to him, but he constantly interrupts me to listen to something he's listening to or show me something funny. I just want to knock him upside his head and make him listen to me. But I know that won't do any good.

I found the key takeaway is to go no contact and to cut off all narcissist supply. Because a narcissist craves attention more than anything and will do and say anything to get it. They crave reactions, so they can prove the other party is " crazy, unstable, paranoid etc. Live well and free . That is what they hate.
