How I got here…

21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.

Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).

To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.

You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.

Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.

Never quit,

Alex

One big difference between the video from Dr. Mike that you show and your form

Dr. Mike keeps his upper back and head laying on the bench. That in turn keeps the arms from going so far back to where the tension on the bicep starts dropping. I think that one bit of technique change will make it hit the bicep a lot better

Love your stuff, Alex, keep at it.

Yeah I saw that video from dr mike too. I really recommend lying dumbbell curls. Really works out the bicep. It’s very good.

Yeah as a fitness coach, incline or lying db curls are a STAPLE arm movement I love. Highly recommend guys.

These are the best especially if you're after that v cut at the bend of the arm for your biceps. Great variation is to do these incline. One of the best arm exercises from decades ago. Still going strong today.

Alex deserves the most props. He is in many cases directly responsible for people making millions. How good that must feel. Philanthropy and making money. Matthew's principle before our very eyes. I'm on the way because of him.

Iv added these to my workout for the last two months and they are insane !! The pump is crazy and boy do you feel it the next day💪 when your biceps are behind your body you get the deepest stretch and it isolates the bicep a lot more, give them a try

I’ve been doing my these, and every time after my biceps are dead, the stretch is nasty at the bottom every single time😅 also shout out to Dr. Mike for the win!!

I like them too. 30° bench and trying to reach your foot on the bottom, holy stretch😊

Lay down flat & let them touch the ground 💪🏼🤘🏼

I do this at home with a chair pulled up next to my bed. Sit on the chair backwards, lay back onto the bed. Put elbows on the edge of the mattress. The mattress will let your elbows sink below your back and get the dumbells nice and low without arms pointing straight down at full stretch.

Shout out to dr. mike, by far the best advice in the fitness industry

The arm rest actually changes the exercise significantly. Letting the arms hang is intentional, to put the bicep at a stretched position. With an arm rest, you're preventing that stretch.
