I got 4 out yesterday, I had IV sedation. I feel fantastic. I’m off the pain meds. I don’t know why I was so scared. Don’t be worried.💙

As a dentist who performs a lot of surgery I can't thank you enough for this video!

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out today and I was so so anxious about the sedation. I had the “twilight sleep” with the IV and I 100% agree that is the best way to go. You don’t even really notice that you are falling asleep. It just kind of feels like you blink and then you are in recovery. It is incredible. Take it from a 22 year old woman who brought her teddy bear in and cried in-front of EVERYONE you will be just fine I promise!

I've just removed my wisdom tooth last week and now I recovered pretty well. Your video really helped me a lot to prepare before I had my surgery and to take care of myself during recovery. Thank you so much.

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out about an hour ago, and y’all, it was SO easy.

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. One of my biggest triggers is when I feel like I’m out of control or like I’m losing control of my faculties, so everything about anesthesia scared me half to death. I made sure to tell them all of this when I got to operating room. I was shaking & on the verge of tears (thankfully I didn’t actually cry bc I’d rather run through a field of razor blades covered in nothing but lemon juice than cry in front of strangers, but I digress). They were super understanding! I refused happy gas (I had it once when I was younger I hated every minute of it) and it was no problem at all. They hooked me up to a heart monitor, took my blood pressure, taped a little machine to my neck to monitor my breathing and then inserted the IV. It was painless. My doctor explained that he’d be giving me a sedative to make me sleepy and then the general anesthesia. Both kicked in pretty fast. We chatted a little bit more about my personal life and then BOOM, I was out. I didn’t feel a cold rush of fluid through my body. Nothing faded out slowly like I thought it would. Never once felt scared. It happened quickly, smoothly and seamlessly. I even had a dream...which...I’m not sure if that’s common, but I did.

When I woke up, I had 100% control of my mental faculties. I’m not exactly sure what the people in wisdom tooth videos are on because I was perfectly fine. It felt like I had woken up from a nap. The only thing that was kind of hard to do was walk, but that was it. My face & tongue were numb and I felt no pain. Even now, I’m good. The numbness is gradually dissipating and my jaw feels like I’ve been smiling all day so my cheeks hurt. Nothing crazy or unbearable.

I hope this brings peace to those who are here because they’re anxious about their upcoming surgery. Coming from someone with anxiety and who was just in your shoes, you’ll be just fine! Hope this helps!

I’m scared after I come out of sedation I will completely spill all my secrets and speak the truth which isn’t good. But I’m happy that there is a Twilight zone option lmao

I’m getting all 4 removed tomorrow, and I cannot stress how scared I’ve been. I have whole loads of different anxiety disorders and this whole day I’ve been disassociating and overall panicking, but your video and everyone’s comments has really helped. I feel more prepared now, and I think this whole process will be much easier for me since watching your video. 😔❤️❤️

Got mine out today w/ IV sedation. LOVED IT. I have generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks, don’t like feeling trapped or out of control. The doc put the IV in and I was asleep in less than thirty seconds. No anxiety. No pain. No memory. Once I woke up, I started crying for no reason. But I hear that’s pretty normal! No pain or anything and didn’t spill any weird secrets ;) don’t fret, friends. If I can do it, you got this.

With most things in life, the scariest part is the waiting and anticipation, I had been dreading this for years and well got them out yesterday. It was so easy haha

EASIEST PROCEDURE YOULL EVER HAVE. I had my wisdom teeth taken out today, two of them were impacted. I was on the verge of a panic attack I was so scared.
I was given laughing gas then sedation. They put the IV in (which I barely felt due to laughing gas) and not even five minutes later I was out cold. The nurse woke me up and I swear I felt like I had closed my eyes for five minutes, even though the surgery was almost an hour.
No pain at all, I was completely asleep I didn't hear or feel a thing. Not a thing, just a small prick if the IV. Guys it's not gonna hurt at all, I promise your gonna be great. I feel silly for freaking out, this was the easiest thing I've ever had done.

I will tell you your gonna be sore after that numbness wears off, but take your pain pills round the clock every 4-6 hours and you'll never feel more that a sorness, no pain at all, an inconvenient sort of discomfort but that medication will keep you mellow and sleepy.
Chin up, your gonna be more than good I promise ❤❤❤

I got all four of mine out this morning. Just had local anesthetic. It was a lot of pressure and you can hear the noises of the roots being broken but that was the only bad part. I recommend bringing earbuds and blasting music while you are there

I watched this last night before my extractions this morning and it helped a ton! I was mostly concerned about anesthesia and I was thoroughly convinced I would die, but with the help of this video I was able to calm my anxiety. I still cried right before the procedure started but this video helped me trust that things would ultimately be okay!!

My anxiety was higher than my pain afterwards, it wasn’t so bad but I have a high pain tolerance. The only thing that sucked was the bleeding and lack of food for the next couple days.

Tip for brushing your teeth, use a baby tooth brush. They are smaller and softer x

Got mine out today (2/3/2023). It was a piece of cake. Had IV Sedation. After the surgery I was wondering why I was so scared. It felt the surgery happened in just 1 minute. There’s nothing to scared be or worried about, for those who still have to get wisdom teeth out, you got this and you’ll do great!
