I quit sugar for one year! One year ago I quit sugar for 30 days and never looked back. In this video we're talking about my experience living sugar-free, how I quit sugar, how the first few months were, what processed and fruit sugar are and how I consume sugar now. I feel like I have my cravings under control for the first time ever! I also answer your questions about quitting sugar like binging and using liquid sweeteners and finally I share some of our common experiences.

I am on day 28 of a 30-day no refined sugar challenge and feeling great and have no desire to go back (am also vegan). Like you, I will partake if there is a celebration or a special occasion, but have no plans to bring it into my home nor buy it "just because." Your skin looks lovely and thank you for the video!

So I tried for a week and I did well mostly but then I fell off the wagon😢 oh wait…we’re talking about sugar😩 jk! I am talking about sugar also but then I felt pulled to sugar. I felt weak & thought sugar was the answer. And today I had the worst pain. My hiatal hernia was acting up and I need to drop at least 10 pounds. I have to get serious about this no sugar stuff or I’m gonna end up a type two diabetic! Please pray for me everyone!
Thank you for the tips you have a new sub😯😊

Wow, what a timing. After my cat died in a bad way two months ago, I started eating so much sugar and I realize more and more how it affects me. Especially my permanent fatigue, because there were days the last 2 months where I ate only sweets and nothing else ....
So I made a plan for November, 1 month. Since I'm not someone who can control himself ^^''. If I have something sweet here, that's gone in no time xx. Therefore, I want to let it go completely and hope that my sugar addiction is better afterwards and I feel better when I start to cook better again xx.
And my wallet will also thank me, sweet stuff is so expensive ^^''.

The video helps me a lot ><. Especially the info about the personal situation. I've done something like this before and had exactly this symptoms, I have felt even more tired and after a Coke everything was okay again ... but in the long run that can not be the solution xx.Therefore, wish me luck and endurance(? stamina ? ... ugh my englisch xx) uu.

I find that ripening fruit helps, it really helps trick the brain into thinking its really sweets. Iv given up ultra process foods too so haven't eaten crisps, or other snack items. No major cravings yet, but I'm only 10 days in.

Why tf is the comment section too toxic? And how can the girl in the video be so polite?
Hey you pelicans! Don't you know dates, apples etc all fruits have sugar BUT NO ADDED SUGAR. No one adds sugar in fruits. Fruits are naturally sweet (such as sugarcane, bananas etc). So if the peps in the comment section wanna cut off sugar from their diet, first cut ADDED SUGAR and if you crave for sugar just eat fruits instead of sugary foods

When I began recovery for my bulimia, I asked my roommate to hide his sweets since I didn’t want to constantly see them and fight that struggle to not binge on them.
It’s easier for them to help out if they hear the ‘why’ behind your request.

I'm on Day 5 of a Sugar-free month. I'm doing fairly well -- the only withdrawal symptom so far is major fatigue. As far as getting sugar out of the house it isn't going to happen. My husband isn't the least bit interested in doing this with me and would only bring it back in if I trashed it all. So I know that and just deal with it. Thanks for your video.

Hi! Great video thanks 😃 what do you think about artificial sweeteners like stevia etc in for example baking? 🍪

I watched both your videos on quitting sugar. I noticed one comment talking about withdrawals and your response about you being surprised. The reason you’re surprised is because you didn’t completely get off sugar. You replaced fake, processed sugar with natural sugar. If someone gets off sugar completely, that usually includes fruit until the body is completely reset then fruit is slowly re-introduced. Your research into gut bacteria was interesting, but you didn’t take it far enough. Once you stave off sugar completely for a few months the sugar bacteria die off. Yours didn’t die off. They survived since you still ate sugar albeit natural sugar.

I wish you also put before and after photos of your face for comparison. Sugar causes inflammation and breaks collagen in skin. I bet your skin improved significantly

Great video thank you - I was wondering about alcohol? I know it's high in sugar so I was wondering if you gave that up too?

Hey Antonia. Thanks for sharing. Skipping the processed sugar is one step.. but I've never felt better before after switching completely to a low carb diet (Keto).. Everything that prevents an insulin high gives you your control back over your body. I read in the comments that you're vegan so switching to low carb isn't easy but I can recommend to go low on fruits and high on vegetables instead -- also there are great recipes for sugar-free soul food.

You're such a nice person! Some of those commenters sound brainless and angry for no reason. Your patience is admirable 💜
My IBS feels so much better when I don't eat sugar, but it's hard. Sometimes even pain isn't strong enough reason not to eat chocolate when I get the craving 🥲
