How to Tell if Your Fish Will Give Birth Soon 'squared off'

Hey Guys!
Today's video I will be showing you how to tell if your fish will have its fry soon. The squared off look refers to the mothers bottom belly having a flat, squared off look, indicating she's going to give birth soon. This method works for any live-bearing fish such as guppies, platys, mollys, and swordtails. The platy in this video had fry right after filming which i think is very cool!

I cant tell if my guppy is in labor. She’s showing all the signs and she’s been in the breeding tank for over 12 hours now. Her butt has been contracted for a while now. Can anyone help??

I went to the aqua shop ang saw this molly. Exactly this colour.. i bought it because it was soooo pretty . I never thought that it can deliver loads of babies hahahahah. I didnt even know what is the name at the first place. Now 2 of my mollies were pregnant. And im a proud momma🤣

Thanks for the video. My platy is a bit young so it is a bit harder to tell. Her birth canal looks a lot like the one on yours, so she may be ready to drop... I don't have a breeding box so she's in a well planted smaller tank by herself. Here's hoping! If any fish people are watching this, if she looks like this, can I put a blanket or something over the tank, to make it darker? I've heard they prefer to give birth in the dark, and I was wondering if this can safely encourage labour so it can happen before I have to sleep.

That's a very educative video, thanks I was like spaced out since I've 3 gorgeous pregnant platies, all with bulging bellies & was wondering what to do & where do I start this all. But as easy as I find it in your video to recon as & when....????....so 1st thing in the morning I'll switch all 3 mother's to a 10 gals tank I have, but I'll need to organise atleast 2 epiphyte plants & a heater from my community tank (What temperature would I need to set ?) fish4ever is the reason why I started fish keeping my first three times didn't go to well.... but that didn't stop me I'm going to be trying a 4th and won't forget the tanks lid and add some mesh so the don't die from head trauma if jumping occurs rip.. I have learned many things .

I feel a little bit bad. My fish just had a baby fish. I didn't even know it was pregnant. All of a sudden there it was this tiny little baby just swimming around. Any information about care for a baby will be well appreciated.
