Orthodontists - we gotta be better about creating a safe space so patients can be honest if they are struggling. And Brace Faces - remember it’s your smile and bite that will suffer if you don’t wear them, so don’t be upset if you’re in braces longer than expected or you end with a result less than what you were hoping for. Orthodontists should never intentionally shame you about it, and they should give you a clear understanding of the expected outcome if you choose not to be compliant. Ultimately, we just want you to get the result you’re looking for! 😊

i don’t normally wear my hands to appointments bc i just end up taking them out when i get there, or before they even call me out when i brush my teeth.

I wore mine all the time, but i promise you the orthodontist told me the wrong brackets to put them on 😭 so they moved a little bit wrong even though it was one tooth off.

I have a friend and when she went to the ortho yesterday, she said she wore her rubber bands every day the entire day. And then some time later her ortho said, I think you can start wearing rubber bands during the day now instead of at night.

My friend should be getting her braces off in December and she never wears her rubber bands. She just puts on 7 before her appointment and she just opens and closes her mouth and then she takes them off and puts on 1 for her appointment 😂
