I found out a few years ago that bruised blood can also travel to the feet. I had fallen in the snow and slammed my knee/shin pretty hard. a couple days later though it was my ankle that looked damaged. the er told me it was just the bruised blood (I'm sure that's not the right term) migrated to my ankles because it was the lowest point and would slowly work it's way back to the right place.

As someone who has sprained their feet 5 times, the first time my foot swelled up to the size of roughly a golf ball. I needed to wear a brace but it simply wouldn’t fit 😭. I was in 5th grade at the time and at a friends house. My friend’s sister also had a friend over. That friend Carried me up the stairs ❤

Last year i had a broken ankle, it was torture to walk through the school with crutches. its super painful for my hands, and walking with the crutches uses up so much energy! the cracking sound when i fell sounded horrible, like cracking 3 knuckles at the same time.

the bruising made my foot an entire pack of skittles 💀 im talking red, green, blue and purple.

i sprained my ankle for the first time on august 31, 2022. i then proceeded to have a vertical fracture down the center of my leftmost metasarsal on june 2nd, 2023, which was the first time i've broken something.

i couldn't walk for more than a few steps with either, but i could walk better with the fracture. i felt more like collapsing with the sprain.

with the break, it bruised both on the top and the bottom of the foot. with the sprain, it was very swollen and bruised all over. both hurt to touch.

just my insight and experiences, though!

In October I fractured it and sprained it so when the fracture healed, it was still sprained. Worse thing is it happened 3 days before my birthday 😢 I still remember when we were playing tag and suddenly I tripped overvand invisible rock and, I. SWEAR I heard I pop and my friends came to help but I tried to get up and I fell againg and my ankle hurt so much and I was almost crying and then some random 4 graders came to help me and we went to the office but I realized I forgot my backpack so I went to go get it and I almost fell lol but then I went out and a teacher and some of my 4 grader friends saw me and helped me look and the the teacher said may be one of my class mates grabbed it for me so we went to the 5 th grade classrooms and my friend grabbed my backpack so I grabbed it and went back to the office yo wait the my mom picked me up and took me to the hospital.

I forgot to say that it was super duper swollen and bruised for a while
