God Bless you Dr. B. I have been going to recovery for 9 weeks now. I recently saw part of a video that some counselor said that addiction was not a disease since the addict chose it. She likened to a car wreck in which someone chose to speed. What if someone else hit them? What if someone had rheumatoid arthritis and went to pain management and were given Oxycontin because the advertising the doctor got said it was less addicting?

Anyway, thank you for being such an inspiration. There are many people in the medical field that still think the only ones to get addicted were abusing their meds. IMO, at least here, the only ones to be prescribed Oxycontin and didn't get addicted were selling it.

There are so many people in recovery now that the insurance companies will pay for treatment including myself that I can't understand why someone would be jealous of that? Especially an addiction counselor.

But if someone who has ADHD tried out Meth they would feel relieved from their "mental tornado in their head" as compared to someone without ADHD who would feel more Euphoria/feel good because of the Dopamine rush?

ADHD symptoms are almost identical to childhood trauma. Cptsd, I know because I have it. Glad meth wasn't readily available when I was a teen because I probably would have loved it

I have sus about my ADHD so it's the psychologist or psychiatrist or just my doctor who diagnoses that?

I haven't been able to fill my Adderall the last 7 months, so a co-worker offered me to try a little meth. I put a tiny bit in my morning coffee, and it works the exact same. I'll never waste my time or money on doctors and pharmaceutical companies for my ADD again.
