was addicted to what i called a trifecta Meth, Opium, Alcohol. I also suffered severe depression and cptsd. i went to a party and consumed about 2g of shrooms i was lost in my head for 6 minutes but when i came back my depression and addiction to my trifecta was gone. I didn't realize it at the time. The psychedelic experience is temporary but people have good permanent results. 6 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

There are many people that don’t get paranoid, don’t pick their skin, have jobs that many never know they addicts.

That's actually how it was for me. I'd get very paranoid after being high for 5 days straight and had severe violent outbursts when I was coming down. I picked at my face and created sores and weighed 90 lbs. I have now been clean and sober from meth and alcohol too for 4 years now and I couldn't be happier. Making the decision to get help was the best decision I've ever made and I am so grateful to still be here today.

My daughter was on meth for years, she lost her children who went to foster homes. I went to court and was given custody. I raised them until they were 18. One married as soon as she was 18, she is still with her husband and 4 children. The oldest one left at 18, had two children and has been a great mom. The trauma of losing their parents was horrible, the oldest has never gotten over it.

I was high on meth perpetually and nobody has ever commented on it. I never had hallucinations or paranoia either... I suppose I just never dosed to the levels some people did. Elevated heartrate? Sure. Really excited and aroused? Of course, but sweating? Out of breath? Nah. Still, I'm sure I appeared manic, but people usually had a positive reaction to me being manic. Being clean for two years, that's the thing I miss the most, the fact people are suddenly not interested in the sober me.

I was ( key word is WAS) a cocaine and meth addict from the age of about 24 to the age of 30. I walked away and quit then, I am proud to say that I have been sober for 24 years now. If anyone watching this is still struggling with addiction, please, get help. 🤗

I was on the other side of this awful addiction and it's an extremely difficult place to be when someone you love deeply becomes a completely different person when using. I knew and he denied. I made him leave to protect my kids and my own mental health but not without a tremendous amount of guilt. All these years later, he still struggles, but it's not a part of my like anymore.

I remember if they say they'll be back in an hour they mean 2 days. 😂😆

I micro dosed mushrooms after fighting depression for over 4years, being incapable of work for the last 2years.
In shot summary I became depression free within a couple of months and still I'm 6months later it saved me.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

What I noticed with meth addicts is: 1) they go psycho, they have constant fear of getting robbed and chased after or suddenly start talking about really abstract and metaphysical things out of nowhere.
2 they have a lot of ticks or odd patterns of behaviour, like always fidgeting with their hair or doing the same movement while walking or singing the same verse to themselves over and over
3) they have really bad skin and you notice they grow older faster than expected like within a year, and have red rashes on their face, that become itchy and because they keep scratching they become irritated.
4) they lose appetite and sleep so they become thinner go on for days without sleep and are awake at really awkward moments
5) they lose their sense of privacy or courtesy, so they can talk about really personal matters with practical strangers or can start a fight out of nothing while they were really patient before

My soulmate, best friend and love of my life for over 25 years had a fatal heart attack that was brought on by years of meth abuse. I can’t tell you how destroyed I am and how I wish I could go back in time to try to save him. I live with the guilt that I didn’t do enough while it mattered when he was still here. If you or a loved one struggles and you’re reading this comment, please get help, it could literally save a life. 😢

Amen after being sober 20years I found myself using meth for about 18 months and almost completely destroyed my life. In 14 months I had one relapse but have been sober for 7 months strait.

You said in your description you are not a mental health advocate but having a youtube channel sharing your stories kinda makes you advocate. Thank you for sharing your story with mental illness and recovery from substances.

Sobriety is great, my husband didn't even drink that much but had to quit! He loves being healthy and active!

Dilated pupils, greasy sweating, in a bathroom for 4 hours, jaw muscles overdeveloped and can be seen clenching. Constantly chewing on ice. Picking at the face/hair/scalp, and more. My ex thinks and thought I couldn't tell, but I always could, and ai had to leave her after 15+ years. Broke my heart. I tried everything to get her help. Denied. When someone won't admit they have a problem, or won't help themselves, or even accept free luxury resort rehab help, move on.

I just came across your platform and I subscribed! I did 30 years struggling with cocaine and alcohol but I'm old and so we're talkin the 70s and the 80s and the 90s. I'm blessed that my struggle was that long ago and I give gratitude every day for seeing the sunrise. Blessings to you from Grandma Gia in the Ozarks

I love your channel and content. You pursuaded me to distance myself from all the friends snorting perc10s and hydros and meth and nitrous. It really isn't worth the price of your health mentally and physically
