I took it during the day and I can honestly say it calmed my nerves and I was able to focus on one thing at a time. I work in a fast paced environment so for me to be able to work remain calm and be relaxed was amazing.

Citrate does help with sleep a lot better than glycinate. Citrate does also have very good bioavailability.

Magnesium Threonate and Taurate are more easily absorbed in the brain.

I take magnesium glycinate in the daytime and it has not made me sleepy. But you're right it's the best one you can take.

I take a pinch of Epsom salt which is magnesium sulfate in a glass of water at bedtime. May not be the best possible magnesium but its cheap and relaxes me with no diarrhea.

I used to have insomnia, I started taking Magnesium glycinate 500 mg. Boy, the 2nd night I slept like a baby. First I started with regular Magnesium 1000mg is work the same way.

Personally I’ve been taking Magnesium Oxide since about 1999, and it’s helped me a lot! I originally started using it after I had three surgeries in two months, and the specialist still couldn’t help me. I had chronic abdominal problems, and it’d take days for me body t process food. It has helped me with numerous issues like menstruel cramps, asthma, leg cramps, and rapid heart rate. I’ve never experienced stomach upset from it.

I am a 43 year old female. I took it before a weight lifting and cardio workout. I worked out for 2 hours. It kept exercise cramps at bay and my endurance was above average. I also was drinking electrolytes during the workout.

ive been taking magensium glycinate before bed everyday and my sleep quality got so bad. it would take me 30 minutes to an hour to properly go to sleep and some nights i would literally not be asleep, but my eyes are so tired that it just felt like i was lying down with my eyes closed the entire night, still entirely conscious. i stopped taking it 2 months ago and my sleep has gotten so much better, i literally fell asleep right away as soon as i stopped taking this

Magnesium oxide is also good if taken after a meal and especially if you have a healthy stomach acid level. Everyone saying it's bad is based on ONE 2001 study and think it’s gospel truth. Oxide is good if you don't have low stomach acid.

You are correct. I use glycinate magnesium and take it before bedtime. It calms and helps you sleep. Lowers blood pressure. Hibiscus tea helps too.
