*Parents need to remember that while older children are able to help out that they are not the parents. It is still their responsibility to provide and maintain the household*

She’s definitely not a bad mom.. this mom is depressed. And she’s going through motions of how to raise her kids on her own and she’s trying so hard to understand her kids but she doesn’t understand herself as a mother

Applaud this mother for having the courage to share her family issues and work them out on Karamo. This may help other mothers in the same situation.

I fully understand what the eldest daughter is saying when she mentions the morning thing and like the take us to school. She wants her mom to do the mom things because the eldest makes sure everyone else has everything and just wants someone to do the same for her. You can tell these three do love each other so much I hope things get better for all of them!

I love this man. He doesn’t exploit family problems. Others would have this family at each other’s throats than coming together. Such a nice family.

Her coming on and asking for help shows she truly cares about them

Aliyah looked so happy hearing all the help she'd be receiving. Being her age, I can definitely relate

This fam is definitely gonna be alright. There’s plenty of love and respect to go around, they just needed a little push.

Some people become parents and think parenting is just providing food and shelter. I have one kid here on Earth with me. She is my rainbow baby and 15 now. I’ve learned that my parenting had to evolve. She don’t have siblings or cousins near by. I had to become her “good sis” as well as her mom. She will tell you I’m strict but reasonable, I hold her accountable. She tells me her secrets and her friend’s secrets lol. Also I had to go on disability in 2020 after Covid almost killed me. Medicare and medical is no way to live. One med I’m taking was the only one I could get Medicare to cover. Well it caused loss of hearing.

Oh these babies are crying out for connection with their mother. Behaviors are communication. Children talk through their actions. Connecting is so important. We go through it as moms, but oh how these babies need us. Mom is drowning so deeply in her depression that she can’t see past her own needs. I hope mom starts therapy so she can find something to pull from . It’s hard to give to anyone else when you’re empty 💔.

The smile on her face when he told her he was gonna get her a Tutor….you can tell that little girl just wants to be seen and make them proud. And I truly hope they’re all doing better 🥹

When I first became a single mother I was hurt, angry, depressed, and the list goes on. I was always yelling at my children for minor issues not realizing it was drastically affecting my children. It was also creating a toxic household. My son was "acting out, not listening, and misbehaving" I did not realize he was also mimicking my behavior. After putting both him and me in therapy and working on myself I've seen a huge change in everyone's behavior including my own. This mom has to put in the necessary work to heal herself so that she can become the mother these beautiful young ladies need. We as mothers often neglect our needs emotionally, mentally, and physically which makes it hard on our children. As long as we (parents) are good, our child(ren) will be good. I hope this family heals and find the love they all so desperately need.

This mama is overwhelmed and depressed. Her Children’s needs are being neglected 😢. I hope that she can shake it off and she can get back to living and mothering her children like she did before. ✊🏾

Mom is putting her own issues onto her children, this episode needed to dig a little deeper bc it's more to it than what was talked about
The sister even says she sees how her sister gets NO attention from anyone, how u do treat a child like that and still expect greatness?

The mother is talking over her kids... She got to hear them out and listen to how they feel she's definitely playing the blame game.

Prayers to this mom, she's a strong level-headed woman. I hope the kids will realised how much she loves them.

Having raised my kids as a single mom and can empathize with this mom, feeing overwhelmed and just exhausted. But she has to get help and get back on track . I’m glad that she came to you. Having her girls so young at 17 she may not have all the tools she needs to parent better. She was just a kid herself. I’m sure she wants to give her girls more time but when you feel empty yourself it can be challenging. I hope Karamo continues to guide this family to get the mom better, because her girls need her whole heartedly.

My cousin raised four children alone. One is a software engineer, two are RNs and the other one is a professional truck driver. All have beautiful kids and are wonderful people. It CAN be done.
