There is a lot of hype going on regarding eggs, particularly about the cholesterol that's in the yolk. To this date there is no consistent data that shows any relationship between dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol.

HERE'S WHY YOUR BODY MUST HAVE CHOLESTEROL...

Cholesterol plays a role in forming and maintaining cell membranes and structures.
Cholesterol can insert between fat molecules making up the cell, making the membrane more fluid. Cells also need cholesterol to help them adjust to changes in temperature.
Cholesterol is essential for making a number of critical hormones, including the stress hormone cortisol. Cholesterol is also used to make the sex hormones testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen.
The liver also uses cholesterol to make bile, a fluid that plays a vital role in the processing and digestion of fats.
Cholesterol is used by nerve cells for insulation.
Your body also needs cholesterol to make vitamin D.
In the presence of sunlight, cholesterol is converted into vitamin D. I hope you enjoy this video. Dr M

When i was recovering from stage 4 head and neck cancer i ate 3-6 eggs a day for over a year because it was the easiest and healthiest food i could swallow. My doctor was impressed with my blood work and told me to keep doing what i was doing 😉 Im still here 6 years later and im thankful for eggs 🙏

I went on an egg diet for a month. Eat nothing but eggs. I'm 73 and haven't been to a doctor since I was 13 for a checkup. I'm still healthy and alive. I eat eggs because they are the healthiest food and they are cheap. And not wrapped in plastic.

Thank you so much. I've loved eggs all my life and I'm almost 70 years old. People told me to stop eating eggs year after year but I never listened because they made me feel good. I love eggs 🙂

We love you Dr Mandell...you are our advocate in this crazy health care world! Your advice aligns with another of my favorite doctors, Christiane Northrup who's philosophy is about being an expert on "everything that can go right with our bodies". I'm 76 yrs old and have never been to a doctor who looks for the things that can right with our bodies. The big difference is that you trust and believe in our ability to get and stay healthy and most doctors think we should rely on drugs! Thank you for being you!!!!

I was eating 6-12 hard boiled eggs per day for 8 months with approval of a dietician. Lost 90 lbs and my cholesterol levels were in the words of my doctor, “amazing”. I eat eggs like they are going out of style. I’m healthier than I’ve ever been and I’m 46.

That was the message I received long ago. Today I'm 68 and I enjoy 3-4 eggs everyday. No health issues with great pallet numbers, awesome blood pressure and I haven't had an illness or flu in over 25 years.

I'm a former bodybuilder who used to eat 12-18 whole eggs a day, 7 days a week. I still eat eggs every day of the week but I've backed it down to 4 whole eggs. I've never had a cholesterol problem. In fact, my blood work numbers from last year's physical were of the best I've had in decades. Eggs are one of nature's most perfect foods.

In caring for my Mother the last 10 yrs of her life passing at 94, her protein intake was important and the liquid drinks were too filling for her so we added poached eggs in the morning and she always ate them every morning . Along with the 4 other small protein meals of chicken fish and sometimes a lean filet cut very small. She always looked forward to her poached eggs when she didn't want anything else. The Dr. never said her cholesterol was high. Thanks for this.
