How to Release Trapped Emotions in the Body | Healing Trauma
Показать описание
// 2023 CHANNEL UPDATE //
I’ve moved on from Mobility Mastery (self fascia release) in order to focus on teaching Kinetix, my method of root cause discovery for pain and dis-ease that involves partner fascia release as a “diagnostics” (and regeneration) tool. Kinetix is a complete scientific methodology that I teach to friends, partners and professionals alike inside The Kinetix Academy.
My other primary focus will be the launch and growth of a new podcast and Substack community called The Human Freedom Project.
// NEW CONTENT ON YOUTUBE //
Sometime in 2023 I will return to YouTube with HFP podcast episodes and content created to help you know and understand yourself as a whole organism made of body, soul and spirit. This content will feature the Kinetix methodology, pain science, fascia secrets I’ve learned from 15+ years in private practice, neuroscience and evolving beyond the brain, trauma and the body, and more! I’m excited to go on this new adventure with you.

BODY BASED TRAUMA HEALING:
Fascia has its own memory bank separate from the brain, and remembers everything you’ve ever been through.
Fascia is the structured water substance that nerve impulses travel through, and neural pathways are ingrained into the fascia of your body.
So fascia is the perfect place to go if you want to find out what’s stuck in your body.
Fascia also plays a role in pain of all kinds, including chronic pain related to unhealed trauma. This is because fascia is designed to respond when we feel threatened in any way by contracting to protect us.
Fascia has been shown to thicken in the presence of prolonged fear.
For those of us with a history of trauma, this often translates to dense, thick fascia that acts like armor to protect us from a dangerous world. However, the result is that we live inside bodies that give us a lot of pain, because they weren’t designed to become this dense.
Dense fascia can break easier than supple fascia, and can cause pain of all kinds.
The healing process is one of disarmament. We have to be ready and willing to take the armor off and feel everything we’ve not wanted to feel until now.
To release emotions from your body using fascia release, just adapt any fascia release technique on this channel (or any one of your choosing) and instead of making your goal to release fascia, your goal is simply to FEEL what you feel.
Start by noticing and feeling SENSATIONS. Sensations are linked to emotions, and a lot easier to “find” than emotions.
Make sure to move SLOWLY.
Slow movement reveals sensations and emotions, while fast movement will hide them.
Try not to look for emotions. Instead, just feel what you feel with as much presence as you can. Become a hunter of sensation, of FEELINGS. Even (especially) the painful ones. The painful sensations are likely where the emotions live.
Notice if you or your body reacts to protect you from feeling anything painful. Those are your coping mechanisms, which are neural pathways that will kick in not just with fascia release but other areas of your life as well.
This isn’t a quick fix. This is a practice.
If you’re also in pain, then I recommend combining these deliberate slow movements and explorations with an intention to release fascia to help restore your body’s fluidity, balance and structural integrity.
