The relationship between the throat/mouth and pelvic floor is so profound! I recently watched a singing instructional video which was teaching to sing from your pelvic floor, so you have an equal and opposite energy - moving down through the pelvic floor, and up through the throat. She said that's the key to singing powerfully. It is a fun practice to actually sing that way and feel the connection.

I realized how much my emotions were affecting my pelvis when I saw a pelvic floor therapist and she was doing a manual tension release I immediately started crying for no reason. My emotions are coming from a partner shaming me. Thank you for this.

I am 51 and I had my first sexual rel. Last year. Your videos have helped do much to overcome trauma. To loosen my body. Everything was " stuck" there, in the pelvis ..

What she is explaining here combined with trauma release exercises(TRE) would be wonderful.

I wasn't aware how badly I was holding all emotions in my body until I started feeling that pain in my body than different diseases... Mainly antibiotics !! My body was weak to fight anything... I developed recurrent cyst around my pelvic region.. many more things.. in short stress and trauma was now manifesting physically for me !! It's good that I'm 19 so I still have time to release stuck emotions and regulate my nervous system again !! But finding content like this is hard when mostly every one thinks to cure superficially while it's just bodies way to show there's something wrong in body deeply..

This is the first video I've seen of yours and this is THE info I have been needing! I have heard a lot of similar things but not all in one video. You wouldn't believe how much time I spend on YT trying to heal this trauma & move it out of my body!
I love shaking - I've done a lot of Dr Joe Dispenza's meditations which always seem to start the shake, and afterward feel like such an amazing release. The other thing you mentioned was sound - also BIG for me too! Dr Peter Levine talks about making a deep "voo" sound or chant. Anyway - thank you so very much for being willing to "go there" I really appreciate the spiritual side of all of this - I think a combination of all of this is what we need. Thank you!

This video is so healing for me. I’m in my mid 30s and recently was diagnosed with mild congenital central spinal stenosis in my lumbar spine which I think really messed with my pelvic function from childhood and drastically affected my emotions. I’ve been learning to relax and I think I’ve been able to release trauma I’ve been holding in for several decades.

As someone who grew up abused, neglected and treated as the black sheep of the family.. who then, as an adult, attracted narcissistic relationships and envious friends who sabotaged my career and healthy relationships.. I’ve noticed that over the past 3 years, I’m unable to cry. And my body? It might as well be thrown away at this point because I live in constant pain, always tensed, and am still workout through ppd. I’ve tried everything to help with my tension! Thank you for sharing!

I noticed that i used to be able to hold in my pee and poo for really extended periods of time with little issue. I’d notice my friends going to the bathroom 5-8 times a day, whereas I’d only go about once or twice. As I became aware of how repressed I was emotionally, I wondered if this had a body connection in my bathroom habits. My shoulders, jaw, and neck have also always been super tight. Im light footed and often scare people who don’t realise I’m right next to them; I also noticed I breathe very lightly almost as if I’m afraid to take up too much air. As I’ve started working on my trauma, I began shaking involuntarily and intermittently. I also go to the bathroom more, and overall, emotional experiences seem to get “digested” more quickly. Have slowly been daring to get more expressive as well. Interesting to grow aware of the emotional, physical and spiritual connections expressed in the body

Thank you so much for this! I’ve felt so much pain in my hips and heart region for years so I have been doing somatic movement and it’s been helping so much but I love how you took the time to explain everything. It makes so much sense! Thanks for all you do!

I definitely felt an emotional release after doing the breathing, shaking, loud vocals, and heart stretch/wrap exercises! I didn't even know how much I needed these! What great information and how gracious and kind you are to share them Dr. Bri!! I will do these at least once a week if not more!! I am truly grateful!!!

I’ve been suffering with Lyme and severe digestive issues. I just did these movements and breathing along with you and I felt release almost immediately with the movement. So much gas came out!! Thank you 🙏

I’ve never heard such a comprehensive and helpful explanation of the development of tension in our Pelvic floor. It really changed my perspective and helped me understand how my history has impacted my current Pelvic floor issues. Thank you for sharing and for the tips!

Hi Dr. Bri. Watched this and wanted to reach through the screen to hug you 🤗

I myself experience the uncontrollable shakes, usually freaking out the folks around me. This just recently happened in a surgical setting. I am so grateful for these tools to try.

I have recently done somatic therapy and understand the relationship between throat and pelvic floor and how my sympathetic nervous system is trying to release trauma.

I've never known anybody else who got the "shakes."

Thanks for your vulnerability in sharing. It helps so much, especially from you. I feel your authenticity in all you share.

I'm grateful to have found you ✨️

For years I've been doing daily meditations involving going "up" (HigherSelf to Source) but that was taking me out of my body. Recently I've been doing "The Pushing Down" meditation which has helped me with Retracing ( the re-experiencing or re-awakening of old pain or other symptoms, including memories or even emotions that seem suddenly to erupt to the surface) & being aware of my triggers as they occur.
