You can pry Keto from my cold dead hands. Been on Keto for 4 mos, I am down 50 lbs and have never felt better. I can cheat here and there with no consequences but I still come back to Keto every time. It is where my body wants to be. No inflammation, healthy gut, tons of energy and great mental focus. This should have been the Standard American Diet but unfortunately we were lied to. Glad I saw the light.

418 pounds to 198 pounds. Thanks to keto!!
You can put me in a room full of pizza, chips, donuts, Cookies, ice cream, and I will not be tempted.... I now adapted a mindset of.. EAT TO LiVE, NOT LIVE TO EAT.

I have been on keto three years and lost 132 pounds and I feel great and my fibromyalgia pain went away. I feel better now at 49 years old then I did at 28 years old! ❤️

When I am out of keto I cannot control my food. But when I am in keto I am always focusing on eating healthy.

I don't want tempt myself to going back to bad habits it's much like being an alcoholic for me that next doughnut would quite likely be my downfall , so keeping the habit every day is what I need to do

This ladder of metabolic efficiency has me thinking about the seasonal availability of food before the modern age. Forcing our ancestors to change their diet according to the seasons.

Been living in ketosis for over two years and now I know no other way to live. Way too many great things happened to my mind and body to change so I’m keto for life.

I've been doing keto and IF, especially exercising in a fasting state and it has transformed my life. I'm 63 and losing weight was impossible prior to that. I've lost 25 lbs since January and have gone from a size 12 to a 6. I have what I call cheat days where I bounce out of keto, but this is the way I want to live the rest of my life. I feel like I'm in my 40s again. Also any inflammatory issues are gone. Most likely because of the weight loss and change of diet. Thanks Tom for everything you do!

I love keto/IF and by August 12 I will have completed 3 years. I do like to keep up with this channel as I want to tweak up what I’m doing or understanding. I can play “gotcha” with my PCP who still doesn’t get it how I safely came off my 17 meds after the first year. He now asks how did I become “so educated “ when I long windedly told him about the D3 & MK7 relationship AND my D25 level on testing was 117.3! Oh, I’m 66 in a month... “NOT your usual geriatric “ I proudly boasted to him!

Nutritional Ketosis For Life. Oh, with IF/Time Restricted Eating. That's my motto.

Seasonal keto - keto in the winter, carbs in the summer is in my opinion the evolutionary appropiate approach. We have specific genes that make us better at utilizing fats when it's cold and dark and utilizing carbs better when it's hot and sunny.

I'm not a doctor (either) but I would suggest anyone doing keto (or considering doing keto) should stay on keto until they've achieved their initial health goals (weight loss, system repair, detox, etc.), then consider a healthy cycling regimen. Cycling too early (especially for long periods) can derail your progress, especially if you eat garbage during the 'break period'.

I really appreciate your videos Thomas. I was so insulin resistant that doing my same workout and diet for 12 weeks when I lost 34 pounds at 30; I only lost 6 pounds at 50. I am now doing healthy Keto and intermittent fasting and I have lost 20 pounds in 7 weeks. I feel great, my joints don't hurt and I can see results in my arms, legs, face and waist already. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to start working out again too. Thanks!

I don't see ketosis as a starvation response. I see it as the normal tapping into the largest energy reserve you have. HFLC, the proper human diet.

Thank you for covering this subject, Thomas! After a 1 1/2 yrs. on Keto, my energy level has recently dropped from great to “slug”... and so I’ll take your educated advice and cycle off for a few weeks with Paleo to see what happens. I love Keto, as it’s so easy to cook for, and I plan to stick with it. But, adding a few more healthy carbs for a few weeks, before returning to Keto makes a lot of sense. Again, thanks!

Hi! Thank you so much for providing such amazing content. I’ve been doing Keto for four years, but my body needed to eat some foods higher in carbs along the journey. When I eat some carbs for some weeks, I always come back to Keto, because like you I love how I feel. Thanks again for your wonderful work.❤️

Going on week 7 on “keto”. Started at 232 lbs. Currently at 213. I’m sold. I’m never starving, have more energy, and wake up every morning around 4:45 am alert and ready to go. I love enjoying the hour just reflecting and occasionally just play YouTube vids to learn about a topic of interest while resting.

Sugar, soy, wheat, canola.

I had ONE cheat day since restarting keto in Feb and gained 5 lbs! Took over a week to get it back off. I did keto all last year until Sept, gained 20 lbs back in 6 months. I've managed to get 15 of it back off, but no more carb cycling or cheat days for me except maybe just an occasional vegetable. My body just can't handle carbs, at least not for now.
