!! Don't do the breathing exercises in a swimming pool, before going underwater, beneath the shower, or piloting any vehicle. Always practice sitting or lying down in a safe environment. Tinnitus symptoms may appear as a result of pushing too forcefully during the breathing exercise. If this happens, take a step back in your future practice, it’s important to increase gradually, not forcefully !!

It's 6am and I'm done with the breathing exercises, time for a workout and then a nice ice dip in the pond outside. Let's get this day going. Let's get life going.

This isn't a competition, but so many have asked how they can get longer breath holds. I find I have the longest holds when :
1. Doing this exercise shortly after waking up.
2. On an empty stomach.
3. Wearing loose fitting clothing.
4. Lying down or in reclined chair.
5. DO NOT look at the timer.
6. Relax to the point where you nearly forget what you are doing.

When I follow these steps I can get my longest breath holds nearly every time. Remember, some days are going to be easier than others, so if you struggle occasionally, that's okay.

Hello everyone,
I have been practicing Wim's method daily for more than half a year now. In the beginning, I had very intense experiences, and through this method and subsequent meditation, I resolved so many fears and worries in my life. Initially, I also experienced strong spiritual illusions. I had over 10 allergies and managed to overcome each one with this method. I am writing this comment because I hope that everyone who reads this and hasn't tried the method yet will definitely give it a go. It brings me such strong feelings of happiness and completeness - it's incredible. Thank you Wim ❤

All guys have had nights like these: Go to a party, already in a bad mood, trying to socialize, unable to really connect to anyone, get pissed of at yourself and the world, get hammered, try one more time to socialize, go home hating everything. After a night like this, before I would go into my depressed fuck-the-world routine (weed, porn, watching random shit on youtube) I did wim hof breathing. And boy, it really saved me from going to the dark place. Instead, I cried for like 2 minutes, got up again and suddenly felt how benign these issues were compared tot he fact that I’m alive and breathing. Then slept like a baby.
I enjoy many different practices to find my balance like yoga and meditation, but what I feel is unique about WHM is that it works ALL THE TIME, irrespective of your current mental state. Love you Wim for teaching me this!
