Don't like the first one, but I do like the second one. It's all about the where the tension is. Better to have higher load in the stretched position

Sled pulls are amazing replacements!!!! I used a old tire a chain and an old bar and alot of weight! Its good for unilatteral loading aswell. My legs have never been bigger than when i was doing these!

How would you overload these exercises? I would have thought split squats or lunges would do the trick and you can use dumbbells.

I use only gravity. i can drop and do 50 on a dare and I am 63

Funnily enough, your leg extension replacements are way better exercises than the actual leg extension machine.

The reverse Nordics are genuinely good for building applicable core and leg strength. It’s undeniable and should be added to everyone’s workout plan.

But otherwise just squat, squat, and squat some more. Whatever and however many variations you want. Until you can’t even walk out the gym. Then eat like you’re dying of starvation.

I do see how these activate quads more isolated, but how would you progressively overload similar to a leg extension?
I could on the reverse nordic maybe holding some weight on your chest, but that can only go so far.

Before watching the video- I vote deep front squats or zercher squats. Pause at the bottom.
