I’ve been lifting out at home for quite some time, but once I get into the gym I found out that my dumbbell exercises are stronger than the barbell exercises compared to others.

I work out at home. Every time I get bored, I go to the gym so I can remind myself how 98% of ppl demotivate you 😂

Our problem as skinny dudes isn't equipments.. it's about nutrition food and mass

If you're getting bored working out at home consider adding a speaker. Remember you are home, you don't need to follow normal gym rules. Have fun. Super set often, as there is no reason to wait cause you won't loose your equipment/ be hogging it up. I think if you keep busy and working multiple muscle groups during your workout at home you'll be finished quicker, get some cardio in on top of it, and not be bored due to the challenge.

Not having to leave the house and be in public to workout is the only reason why I have been consistent

I bought these 3 items back in 2005. Its 2023 and I'm still using them. When I tell my friends that I've never stepped foot in a gym, they say I'm lying ! These 3 items are all you really need.

If you CANNOT AFFORD these.

Instead of pull-up bar, use door-frame or stairs, table-top, bed-top.
Instead of dumbells, kettlebells, use bricks, self-made sandbags, water-buckets.
Instead of gym bench use your bed, chair, stool.
Also, fill your backpack with bricks or sand, and use as a weighted vest.
For the barbell I took a long wooden stick and attached a bundle of tied-up 8 bricks on either side.
Also, do 10 deadlifts with the water bucket before bathing.
I am saying this because I have used these only. I did not have money to buy gym things. Now it is more than 1 year doing that, and also got results. My whole body is toned. (Not very muscular because i cannot afford high protein food at present.)
A 5 kg weight is a 5 kg weight, whether iron or cotton. I used 5 kg soil/bricks/stones/water.
also learn body weight exercises, with only floor. eg. one thousand burpees.

I've got everything except the bench (takes up too much space) Instead, you could get a weighted vest and do pushups. The best part about the weighted vest is you can reuse it for things like squats and pullups too for more progression.

Also make sure the pullup bar is one you drill into the wall. You will get injured on the door frame hanging ones.

If you can't afford a weighted vest, you can take the weights from your adjustable dumbbells and put them in a backpack and use that instead.

Can't go to the gym too time consuming and don't like dealing with people. Adjustable dumbells are great and easy to use.

Dumbbells are so versatile can sometimes be a bit expensive but if you get creative you can work almost anything in your upper body

People who train at home tend to get bigger with minimal equipment because of the convenience which prevents skipped workouts. Also people who go to gyms tend to talk with their bros more than actually train, especially younger guys are like this. Too much distractions from the workout so they stay small. I got huge with the floor of my apartment and a selfmade wooden pullup frame with a mountable bar that I bought.
