I still eat all those good foods, drink to much too but now drink about 15 glasses of water a day, half with lemon juice and so far its helped, been gout free for two months. I was having attacks every 3 weeks and missing at least 7 days of work. I was having an attack yesterday, my knee was locking up and drank a ton of lemon water and it stopped the attack. I don't know if it will keep it gone for good but it is helping . I also eat a big salad everyday with cucumber and celery as they are my gout fighters lol. I don't eat fruits much as they never stopped my gout attacks.. I used to eat two apples and a banana a day and was laid up for two weeks, not saying they are bad just didn't help me. I wish everyone luck finding the right things to eat and do, it is so pain full.

Great video. He just summarised all the papers it's taken me four days to read in four minutes. This is the latest research from scientists, not something a quack made up, unlike much on utube.

I looked and looked for a remedy for my gout. I had extreme, severe pain. I tried some expensive supplements, but I didn't see any results. Finally, I saw on someone's comment under a gout video, take baking soda. I followed his advice, one and a half teaspoons of baking soda, once in the morning and before bed. I mixed it with at least 16 oz of tart cherry juice (a natural anti-inflammatory). I also soaked my foot in hot water for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening. I could tell a difference fairly quickly. The pain and sensitivity went down each day. After three or four days, I could walk normally and with no pain. Thanks for that comment.

Some newest researches linked gout attacks with high blood pressure and panicking situations! People definitely have had a high uric acid level at the same time but I’m talking about the cause of the attack!

No alcohol and no crab. That’s torture when you are a Marylander.

Mushrooms are definitely a gout flare up trigger for me. Which sucks because I really like them. I’ve given up meat and I was hyped to eat mushrooms full time-but nope.

I have a serious issue with this advice. Yes, avoid fructose as it elevates your Insulin levels. Insulin is an Inflammatory hormone. I have been on a Keto diet for a few years. Lots of red meat, cauliflower, fish, salmon, have an issue with Gout. Then I got cocky and a bit naive. I ordered a bunch of low carb bread that was the best I ever had. The best that it made me question if it was low carb or not (digestively corrected they claim). After eating this bread for a week I had the worse case of gout ever. I found out the bread (Wio Smart Foods) was just plain white bread sweetened with Fructose. From everything that I've researched, purins in the food we eat are not the problem. Its the elevation of blood sugar AND Insulin that triggers gout attacks. If red meat caused gout I probably would've lost my foot by now. I eat tons of it and I'm in really good shape. I only eat meats, vegetables, and some low sugar diary.

So pretty much don’t eat nothing. I can see a diet like this getting rid of gout cause we’ll be dead of starvation.

I understand barley and malt are high purine and that's why beer is bad for gout

Hi. I hope you can help me out: I switch to vegan / begetarian lifestyle 2 month ago and I do like it a lot. However I have checked my uric acid levels about 1 month and they were high. Also today I started with some pain on my foot. I don´t drink sodas, I eat a lot of vegtables, nuts, grains and some fruit. Haven´t eaten chicken, seafood or meat in 2 months and also I don´t drink. So how come I might be getting this high levels? Any thoughts? I have taken some nutritional yeast but hasn´t been that much thoough. Hope you or some one reading this can help me out please.
Thanks
