As a Gout sufferer myself, i empathize with anyone with this disease. In my case its genetic, and had this disease since i was in my early 20's on my big toe. According to my primary care Doctor here in Germany, i was suppose to take Allopurinol medicine for the rest of my life, but that scared me as it could have side effects on my Kidney. After searching online on how to get rid of Gout naturally, this is what i found out and help me Gout free and pain free since March of 2014.
Every morning, i drank a glass of warm-water mixed with 2 to 3 teaspoon of fresh-lemon-juice on an *Empty stomach*, even before brushing teeth. I had my Breakfast, Coffee/tea only after 10 - 15 minutes after drinking that warm lemon-water.. Its been almost 10 years now since i have had Gout attack, and warm lemon-water has been my first drink every morning since then😊
By the way, this might not work for everybody, but just in case, it help some of you like it helped me. Wish you all the very best and get well soon to everyone 🙏

If this is your first time DO NOT believe anyone who says the pain can go away quickly. It will take at least 8 hours - with medicine -to start getting better and many days or weeks to clear out completely.

The Doctor is right. Water, and LOTS of it is the answer. You won't believe how well it works unless you already know it. I've been there, done that, and stand by it. My first gout attack, I wanted to have my foot amputated, that's how debilitating the pain was. After my diagnoses and going on Colchicine I started with extreme food moderation, but now I can pretty much control the flare ups.

I've kept Colchicine around for a couple years in case of a monthly gout attack but since I started taking a daily dose of Allopurinol and watched my food and alcohol intake for a year now I haven't had a single issue. One of the best things that I used to do when having constant pain was to elevate whatever place it struck being the toe, ankle, or knee and ice it down 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off until the pain subsided, it brought me quick relief many a time.

I think the good doctor has changed some of his ideas over the last 3 years, as new research has shown that sugar, alcohol and excessive carbohydrates are the cause. His medication suggestions though are still spot on!

The 2 biggest triggers for gout is Fructose & Beer, NOT meat! Alcohol in general both promotes uric acid & slows the body from eliminating it. Make sure you get daily MINERALS, especially magnesium & potassium which help neutralize the acid so it's easily excreted. I've found baking soda to be a lifesaver for an acute attack. Start slow, 1/4 teaspoon per 8 ounces water. I add a Tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar to the 8 oz. of water too. Do not drink near eating as it can interrupt digestion. Works for me every time!

I’m having a terrible bout of gout at this very moment. I don’t eat red meat, very very little seafood, I drink a small bottle of beer, sometimes two, a day and drink lots of water! Pharmacy won’t give me medicine without a prescription and I can’t drive to a doctor. Iced water seriously helped and enabled me to sleep, but that was agony in itself! Gonna try finding a doc today, but boy is it painful. Sympathy to all other sufferers.

Okay for me I'm a vegetarian I don't eat meat or drink alcohol, I have learned for me it's inflammation from sugars and breads and I have not ever had an attack that goes away in a 12 hours

Hydration is truly the best remedy. Aleve works really well. It’s so painful. Podiatrist have done nothing for me.

I get gout. I don't drink alcohol, and I only have very small portions of seafood, if at all. I eat no red meat. What causes it seems to be too much saturated fat and fructose (to a lesser degree). The foods I eat are all plant based, but they still have purines. Taking an anti-inflammatory pill (quarter or half if I can get away with it), and putting my foot in warm/hot water. That seems to get the crystals moving on a bit. Another thing is a neck massager - I converted it into a toe vibrator and that seems to loosen things up too.

Everything “can help” and “ may help”, but normally doesn’t. Suffered for 4 years, my uric acid levels are normal. Colchicine is a saviour if you get in quickly. Just started Allopinurol, celery juice daily, lemon water in morning, ginger tea. No alcohol for 4 weeks fasting 18/6. To early to tell and what it is i am doing that might help, but i feel better. And, not only my uric acid levels were not high, i only weighed 67 kg, 168cm, 58 y male. I think beer was my trigger, although not a big drinker.

I do not eat red meat nor do I consume any other products that is attributed to gout. I lead a very healthly daily regiment and finally found out this pain I have been experiencing is called gout. The medical people 'practicing' medicine do not have it right.

In an attempt to treat my own condition, I have found drinking nettle tea helps. I also use Epsom salts in my bath. I think this helps.
I hope this helps others
